TOI: North India blackout comes true on TV

Recently half the nation faced a major power failure... the difficulties people went through has been highlighted on some way on Parvarrish - Kuchh Khatti Kuchh Meethi.

On the show, Raashi is trapped inside a lift and the family isn't aware. Luckily, when her father Jeet Ahuja calls out her name, she somehow manages to alert them that she is stuck inside. A frightened Rashi starts praying to god to get her out of this mess and in delusional state suddenly sees Lord Krishna — who actually is none other than her brother Sunny. In their endeavor to showcase the day to day lives of parents, the show has tried to highlight the recent blackout incident in northern India recently.

Mohit Jha, series director of the show, shares his experience of shooting such a complicated and intrinsic scene: "For the first time we shot such an action packed sequence. Both Vishal Singhand Sparsh had to face lot of difficulty during the shoot as we actually shot this sequence in an elevator without any proper ventilation."
