No it is not. I have checked on the internet. It is Nina Antonia and not Jacquiline Briskin.

this 1985 version is supposed to be the story

the other one is said to be the "the newyork dolls" and is something else

Antonia Nina also wrote a booke called Too Much Too Soon but that is about rock band - The New York Dolls
