I'm NOT going crazy after all 😃

They do it for most big releases, when they are confident of getting huge response, and Salman's name draws big crowds.

Aishwarya was an established name much before she met Salman. She was Miss World. She was already being wooed by the biggest of directors for their films. As I just pointed out with Boom before Katrina met Salman, you can see where the difference was.

And the only film she did with Salman was HDDCS - a film where she walked away with all the awards and acclaim, after which he actually tried sabotaging her career by getting her out of big films, whereas he got Katrina enough movies and still does... yet Katrina is still to make a mark for herself as an actress.

Big difference.

My ass she was a big name.

She was being called exactly what Katrina is called. Wooden and expressionless. She had only flops behind her and there were rumors of her being out of Bollywood and moving down South for good. Like all the flop actresses. HDDCS gave her a new lease of life.

If Boom is a po*n film, then what exactly is Shabd?

Katrina is a bigger name in India than Ash ever was.

Lol @ moving down South after flops in Bollywood. She actually debuted in a South film. She signed Hindi movies and South films simulataneously.

Her first film was Mani Ratnam's Iruvar where she was critically acclaimed. Her Hindi debut was a flop and she was criticized. Her third film, Jeans, was a blockbuster and again she got great reviews.. it was actually India's official entry to Oscars for the Best film in a foreign category award.

Then came HDDCS and Taal.

If Shabd is po*n for you, I will leave it there.

Katrina is a bigger name than Ash ever was in India, yeah sure. 😆

That's great for her. What don't you understand about " For Good"?

It means she would only be doing South films not Bollywood films.

Shabd is based on an adult fantasy about someone doing their wife. It has explicit content and mature scenes. Its more of an adult film than Boom.

HDDCS and Taal weren't HITS according to BOI. But they did give Ash a new lease of life. Too bad she couldn't sustain it and followed it up with massive disasters like Albela, Hum Kissise Kum Nahin, Dil Ka Rishta etc.

Katrina on the other hand is all about Blockbusters. So yes, her movies are watched by more people. She's googled more and is a bigger star than Ash ever was, who even in the best of times was behind Rani and Preity.

Nope, she had several Bollywood movies on hand like Josh, Mohabbatein, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Albela even when she was filming her South Indian movies.

And about Shabd, I've already said I'll leave it there. If it's po*n for you, great! Not for me. The scenes were shot aesthetically unlike Boom.

HDDCS was a semi-hit, Taal was above average in India. They were huge hits overseas. And she followed them up with successful films like Josh, Mohabbatein, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai in 2000. In 2001, she had only one release, Albela, which was average according to BOI. In 2002, she again had a huge hit with Devdas. So she has been quite consistent.

Yes, Katrina is all about blockbusters. That's because most of the films she does are masala potboilers aimed at the masses, and in most of the movies she has limited screentime/dialogues. Ask Katrina to do movies like Chokher Bali, Raincoat, Devdas, Provoked etc and make them blockbusters and then we'll talk. 😊

Regarding Ash lagging behind Rani and Preity.. while that was true for a very brief time when Salman tried to sabotage her career by pulling her out of big films, which ended up in Rani and Preity's lap and hence they gained mileage. But despite that, Aishwarya continued to be the highest paid actress... And we all know how quickly Rani and Preity faded into oblivion while Aishwarya continued to touch personal and professional highs..

And google you say? Aishwarya was still the most googled actress until 2007-08. So when Katrina is 34, married.. we'll see if she is able to come close to the feat achieved only by Ash. Oh, and according to Google, Aishwarya's name still records more hits than current top leading ladies Kareena, Priyanka, Deepika etc. :)

P.S. And Aishwarya has a pan-Indian appeal.. having done successful films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Bengali cinema. Not to forget her international fame, which is a cherry on top.

If Katrina manages to find a surname as big as Bachchan to marry she will easily surpass Ash's 'feat' of being the Google queen even when she is married and 34. If Ash would have married a non-Bachchan and remained popular then I would attritube her so called current popularity to her alone.

when you have a father in law as famous as big b who is constantly giving updates to the extent of telling about your dilations and contractions, hell yeah you are in news for the longest time.
The fact is if salman is reason behind katrina, aish was never alone as well, had it not been for the men in her life which kept her in news her career would have ended long time back.
Despite that aish was never consistent. I never saw her giving consecutive hits and making movies with a lower star than her hits based on her fan following.

Lol, yeah sure, people googled her the most because she had a Bachchan surname. 🤪 By that logic, Abhishek should also be among the top googled names... but, guess what, he isn't. He isn't even in Top 5. HECK! Forget Abhishek, even Amitabh himself is nowhere.

Reasons for success:

Actors - Mass appeal, personality, charm, acting, etc.
Actresses - Anything from boyfriends to the families except their own acting capabilities or connect with the audience.
Producers are mere puppets who are willing to lose their money just because someone requests to hire a certain actress. They must all have money trees in their backyards.
