Your right.
I'm not Hindu but I think Raksha-bandan is a concept beyond any religion, because its the symbolic act in which you assure your siblings that you are there for them.
For me, I don't think that it is a Hindu festival but I think of it as a beautiful sibling festival.
I mean, my brother is 5 years older than me and I remember jumping on his classmate and pulling his hair just because he was teasing me brother to no end and I was like 5 or 6 at that time.
And my brother, he's a jackass to me but he told me that if any guy so much as looked at me in the wrong way, just tell him and he'll take care of it.
And my sister is even older than my brother and she lives out city but I just love her and can kill for her happiness (though I won't ever say it to her on her face)
I mean I am there for my sibling's 'Raksha' and they are there for mine. For this, I'm considering giving my brother a wristband (he won't wear it if I told him what it was) and my sister a Rakhi on RB next year.
And as for Arnav Anjali RB scene. It was just simply beautiful.
