Reduxians at their best!--watch this space for comments-- šTants - Thank goodness you updated! šAbsolutely ā¤ļø the game play of emotions you honed in on; your reference to hoolahoop(ing) had me chuckling! šYour thoughts on Arnav barely holding back his anger and him being the master player of his own stack of cards were delicious; what a unique perspective! LOL@her chocolatey pati - chocolatey indeed!I could just sit here and marvel at how wonderfully, and intricately you've woven together the various string of emotions, capturing the significance of it all in the larger picture. So true, relations are not to be bound but bonded - Tants, thanks to you, I'll never be able to look at a pack of cards in the same way again! Welcome back matey! A post from the heart, and it showed..P.s. ā¤ļø the way you captured your favourite moment! Such a small moment, but beautifully poignant!Anna - You always capture the essence of IPK so beautifully in your posts! Loved ā¤ļø your *lightbulb* moment of Arnav's game plan and his intentions - always an absolute pleasure to read you!
Bush - You've just outdone yourself matey, and I hadn't thought that were possible! Brilliant insight, and written with so much depth and clarity, that even clueless souls such as myself stand a chance! And the diagram really did serve a purpose!! What a way to apply Maslow's theory - an apt reference to the study of human complexities. Absolutely ā¤ļø the way you connected the diwali reference "in sab baaton ka mere liye koi matlab nahin hai" What a beautiful way of highlighting the extent of Arnav's heart break, equating it to that of Khushi's and how she felt in the past - and this I believe makes ASR's redemption so satisfying, even though it pains!! One of your BEST posts to date Bush - sach mein!
Jhalak - I just knew I was in for a ride when I read your title ā¤ļø- Sheesha ho ya dil ho...wah, kya title chuna hein! Oh my God Jhalak, what a beautiful tale of love!! Read just like a delicious novel, especially your words about Arnav covering a "long journey of love" and Khushi still having to let go of her fears and learn to put her faith in her Arnav JI - too good man!
Koel - A beautiful narrative, which captured the tragic woes of love! Simply ā¤ļø your reference to Khushi's shattered illusions upon being shown the mirror! The title: House of Cards was also beautifully woven in and so apt with regards to the different characterisations you've shed light on! Your lines on Arnav was killer - the fact that he doesn't believe in building a house of cards, something which he's hinted to Khushi time and time again! Brilliant!
Anjani - I always ā¤ļø your pointers, so beautifully direct! No faffing about whatsoever, straight to the point - what worked and what didn't! Absolutely loved this one:
I know now Khushi is acting from her brain and stopped listening to her heart. If she wud have listened today, she wud have known that how much this man has fallen for her!
So true! You can see she was holding herself back, clutching her heart in pain, trying to keep the distance - It was the one moment Arnav would have wanted her to listen to her heart only, ignoring the pull of the dimaag - and you can see how frustrated he was when she paused to mull over things each time! Her hesitancy was a result of using her dimaag!!
Kopal - Epic, epic, epic write up!!! I'm still amazed at how well you've interlinked various strands, each time going off on a different tangent - keeping it relevant, but still bringing it back to your original point. You've honed in on a single aspect without steering away from the larger picture, and that my friend is a skill of its own! The chaos you've captured and interpreted is explored from all angles, showcasing the complexities and inner turmoil of each character! Loved how you've centred the chaos around Khushi, are rather placed Khushi in the centre of all the chaos! And of course, Arnav has to be the one to lead her out of it, just as she'd done for him!! A beautiful take Kopal, one that I would want to return to!!! Sach me, proud of you for penning this one!! Superb! ā¤ļø
Nia - I absolutely ā¤ļø the way you write with so much sincerity and depth! When they cry, you cry with them, when they feel the pain, so do you, and when joy is to be had, you celebrate with them! It's your ability to empathise with each and every character that amazes me - always! Such an objective take on the episode, removing yourself away from fruitless negativity! Beautiful!!
MPK - Sheer brilliance! Short handedly detailed, coherently laid and cut throat pointers! I ā¤ļø the reference to Arnav being caught up in a catch-22, very apt! Equally loved how blunt you put it to all the characters - Nice one!
Divya - Love your take on Khushi and her tendency to harden her heart when confronting Arnav!! So true! Absolutely ā¤ļø your advice to Arnav about his tactics in reclaiming back his love, you're right, not everything is a heady challenge or a deal, nor is "just loving someone enough" he needs to "express" that love to her "before it's too late" - beautifully put!
Teju - Superb post!! This particular bit killed me Even though Kushi argues, fights, tries of sacrificing him ,deep beneath she had already accepted him as her husband! That's the reason she never denies his proximity, never retorts to his advances like she does for else otherwise situations, her comfortness in speaking, expressing her feelings, talking without fear etc.. absolutely amazing the way you've grasped each of the characters and their inner feelings! Absolutely ā¤ļø it!
Supna - I can tell just how much you LOVED the last scene - and nobody has quite captured the pain of Arnav as your have in your post!! The way you've captured his pain and his longing for Khushi in words - uff, ab kya bolun mein!! Such shayari can not be done justice through mere words of mine - ā¤ļø it!!!
ajeeb shakhs hai na khud chain se rehta haina apni mohabbat ko rehney deta hai sukoo'n selehjey main uss k kai sheeshey tooteyaankho'n main uss k kai kanch hain chubheyapney dard ko zuban se baya'n nahi kartaso apni aankho'n se baya'n kar raha hai woh!EPIC!!
Sandhya - *whistles* the "path of pain" was an absolute pleasure to read, lol does that make me sadistic!!? But what a way to put it into words, fabulous! "For her, when he suffers, she suffers multitudes.." And I'd like to believe vice versa as well! And I absolute ā¤ļø you for pointing out how she walked "the whole 9 yards to relieve Arnav's pain"!!! A very mature take Sandhya, now I see why you took this angle, how easy is it to overlook everything Khushi had had to sacrifice in order to reclaim her love and alleviate his sufferings - and you've highlighted all that pain and suffering perfectly, lest we forget...beautiful!
Rit - Can I just first say, well done for taking the first step in motivating yourself to post. One post is all it takes, then the rest is history!! Lol trust me! Addictive isn't it, redux!? š
And I'm so glad you took this step! A nicely, coherent set of thoughts; kept me engaged throughout! Absolutely ā¤ļø your in-between moments of "phangurling" over Sobti's hotness overload - LOL tu toh meri hi bhen nikli!!! š¤£
And why does it have to be one or the other, when you can have the best of both!? š
Brilliant references to key dialogue as well, and a nice way of aligning them to your own thoughts! I look forward to your next reserve! š
Will comment as and when I'm done reading...
