Can I please ask, what is up with the Padmini hate? This man took her in, treated her with respect, and loved her daughters like they were her own. While their biological father wanted to kill them. And as for her not telling the in-laws, then I would think that that's Madhu's responsibility. Padmini and Shamsher did what any parents would. They're trying to give their daughter the husband she wants.
You know, before today's scene, Padmini drove me crazy. She was so mousy and annoying. But today, WOW. What she said blew me away.
I just can't get over how beautiful her words were. Straight from the heart. Why would someone do this to him? She wasn't crying about the disrespect done to her. She wasn't repenting her own decision in staying on. She was crying because of the disrespect done to this man, who has done so much, and asked nothing in return.
Could she have married him? Could she have pretended she wasn't already lawfully married? Could she have let the fake death be the real death of Padmini and started a whole new life? If you ask me, yes. But Padmini's answer is a no. She thinks although her husband is a monster, he's still her husband. She still has a duty to him. She's still a married woman.
If I'm not mistaken, It wasn't until the very end of her scene that she acknowledged the damage done to Madhu's reputation. What took precedence (in a way) was Shamsher. And I must say, I wasn't expecting this. I was pleasantly (okay ALOT) surprised. 👏👏 That one scene told us a lot. This is a woman in love. And because of her past, she can never acknowledge it in any way. All they can ever share is this platonic "pavitra" rishta. Somewhere (in both their hearts) when RK labelled their's as a "live in" relationship, I think both their hearts broke a little. They're forever consigned to a relationship that has no name, and today, even that was questioned.
And what about Shamsheer? He could have just as easily married someone else. But he didn't. Instead he reared her children, and chose to sleep outside on a cot for 21 years. Man, I wish I could watch a show about these two. I want their story. Now!😆⭐️
I fell in love with the two of them these past couple episodes. They share such a courtly old-world love. A man like RK could never understand it.
