Saw many posts that are questioning why Savita and Archana are reacting so strongly to Purvi's kidnapping.
I thought, I will try to explain why.
Archana. She lost her kids five times. May be because of her own mistakes. May be because she invited it, but four times. One unborn child. One Soham. One Sachin. And then Ovi Teju. All her kids have been snatched (in her own version) by destiny from her. She knows that she can not gain love of her kids or Sachin and that she is going to go away from them soon. Her only hope is Purvi. And, now cruelly she fears, Purvi will be snatched away from her too. Yes, she angrily told her to leave the house, but that was when she was consumed by anger and a sense of betrayal. No matter what a mother may say in anger, in her heart, she can not think of any harm to her kid... But here, she knows Purvi , her only hope from life, is or might be in danger.
Savita. Yes she manipulated own grand kids against their mother. She tried to snatch Soham from Archana for revenge. But, again she has suffered what it is to lose a kid, a grand kid like that. Now that she is going through this situation, it is a sort of cathartic fear - if not out of humanity or empathy, but as a flashback of what she has gone through that is overpowering her. Yes, she is bitter to Archana, and would do whatever it takes to hurt her, but the thought of losing a "child" to death or something similar, is reminding her of her own pain, and making her concerned.
