Singing for their supper!

The title tracks of certain television serials have become some of the biggest melodies in recent times. So much so, that they've been turned into ring tones, caller tunes and even sell as records. But do the actors actually know the title tracks of their shows? Sandipan Dalal puts them to the test!

Record tod: The actor makes a confession that he has no clue about the title track. The convenient excuses that follow are: "I don't get the time to watch my own serial. How can you expect me to remember the title track?"
Our impression: The actor even complained that that the track doesn't score much in terms of melody. Parmeet, just chuck the excuses! Remembering a few lines is the least you can do since you play the lead character on the show!

Our impression: This actress is very attached to her show. So much so that she hummed her song in tune perfecto. She reveals, "It's one of the best title tracks I have ever heard. It's sad that the title tracks are no longer shown on television these days."

Our impression: The actress kept insisting that we sing out a few lines instead. She even asked us to call back later (so that she can check with other people on her sets). A clear case of poor memory!

Our impression: Bravo! He's in full command of the entire song. And boy, can he carry a tune! The actor says that the track is his all-time favourite. We suggest that he should consider a career in playback singing as well.
