It had been raining for so long and my biggest fear was sun and extreme heat during fasting. I even had expressed my worries to my daughter a week before Ramadan.

For me it's the thirst too which is almost unbearable because I usually drink a large quantity of water on a daily base. 17 hrs without any water is a challenge. It's even worse for my family in Sweden. Their fasting is about 19 hrs at the moment. Imagine when Ramadan will occur in June. They have to fast for around 20 hrs. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot over there during that time.

I actually quite liked the NHS and GOSH tribute. We ought to be proud that we have access to something so wonderful, something a lot of us take for granted and something that most countries don't have. The whole Mary Poppins and Voldemort bit was pretty cool too. Every single thing about the opening ceremony was basically as British as it can get.

@OBJ: I saw Saina Nehwal play live today. The girl has a lot of potential! Unfortunately though I also saw the Chinese players and they basically owned every single player from every country. (in every single format of badminton) no-one stands a chance against them.

Haha. Ditto. I had the same worries, i think last week was one of the warmest weeks for this year, but in comparison to the temperature in Saudi we are so friggin lucky. @olympics - woah - Spain is already out! Didnt see that coming .. Looking forward to gymnastics tonight .. And when is field hockey starting? will be fun to watch pakistan play even though (given their recent performances) they don't have a chance of winning :p
