I just got to ask, what's with all the Mukund-Madhu hate??😕

I for one enjoy the Mukund-Mudhu scenes. They are so sweet together. And I understand why their relationship is being given the emphasis that it is. Why should the loss of a relationship affect you when you don't care much for it? Mukund's loss will only crush Madhu (and give her further opportunity for growth) if he means alot to her. I wouldn't be surprised if she grows to "love" him soon enough.

Now before people start throwing rotten food items my way 😆, let me explain.
Mukund is basically Madhu's first relationship. At this point its a hand-holding thing. And just because Madhu loves Mukund (in her own way) doesn't make any relationship she has in the future mean less. Lots of people have romantic histories, and Madhu is allowed hers.

It would mean well for a RK-Madhu romance. No sweet innocent girl lacking previous relationship experience is going to be able to handle the box of crazy that is Rishabh Kundra. She needs experience. She's already astute enough to know that RK is not what he seems. He rubs her the wrong way, which is good. Because at this point, RK is negative.

---

As for the unimpressive TRP's, then well, there is a whole lot going on in this show other than Mukund-Madhu.

1. Trishna-Roma scenes for one. They are often annoying and the purpose of each scene can be accomplished in 1/10 the amount of screen time.
2. Mukund's Mother. Although I'm a big fan of the actor who plays Mukund's mother (Usha?), I find her scenes to be annoying (as I don't like the MIL from hell track), and completely disconnected from the feel of the rest of the show. Once again, the purpose of Mukund's family scenes can be accomplished in 1/10 the screen time.
3. The first week was spent on Padmini backstory. Which could've been accomplished, in, yes 😆😆 1/10 the time.
4. There is actually very little screen time being given to RK and Madhu each. Forget about the two of them together.

Basically, the pacing of the story, and its focus on other storylines may be to blame. That being said, Madhubala is a show centered around a slow build. They're not going to give us RK and Madhu just like that. The two people (and their polarizing worlds) have to illustrated and set up. That is why so much time is being devoted to the people in their lives. And that might also be a reason why the TRP's aren't what people expected them to be. But like I said, slow build is obviously the agenda.
The network, production, and cast would've been aware of this when they were told the story. So no worries. The show is doing just fine.

Nice analysis 😊

Yes the show is doing fine...slow built shows will work.. i am sorry to disagree to the part that experience counts if she needs handle the crazy Rishab Kundra...she has already started handling him well enough..only thing she cannot handle is her heartbeats and the passion he evokes in her...

You were right leads screen space has been very less compared to others. I'm also not talking about them being in one frame.

But have to disagree about experience part. Having a relationship with someone like Mukund will not get her the experience to handle Rishabh Kundra. Both are completely different.

She needs to be strong to handle RK, which she is when she faces him.

All her otehr relationships makes her a weak person.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Madhu is able to handle RK at this point. But when they finally do get together, her lack of experience will most likely result in an imbalanced relationship.

I hate those shows where the girl is subservient to the point of . Madhu is RK's equal. The minute he takes a step forward, and she takes 3 steps back is the minute their dynamic gets established. And while scenes like that are fun to watch (once in a while), I don't feel like watching a whole show based on such a dynamic. Although Madhu is a confident person, she needs confidence in herself, as a woman. So that next time RK pulls another seductive stunt 😲, Madhu will be able to handle her out of control heartbeats, recognize an attraction (because that's what it will be soon enough) for what it is, and be able to see through RK, and to his ultimate game.

She might be a lamb being led to slaughter, but wouldn't it be so much better if the lamb managed to outsmart the lion's more aggressive king-of-the-land traps?

Plus, if Madhu's heart had been otherwise engaged (or if she had been burned by love once already), she would be more likely to show resistance to RK's seductions. She's already showing signs of awareness (not attraction at this point), and in order to further the story between them she needs to resist it and RK. Like she did during the engagement. Mukund is furthering RK-Madhu love story, by giving Madhu a reason to dislike RK. And that then gives RK a reason to turn it up a notch. And we get a reason to get all 😳⭐️!! 😆😆😆

I really love this show ⭐️

Well said and whole heartedly agree to everything you stated. I too echo the same sentiments and yes the story is a slow build up and hurt, humiliation and pain are every important ingredients for it... But I guess what everyone is worried about is...

  • In this slow build hopefully the show does not loose its viewership. I know its too early to judge but watching the dripping trps one can only feel worried...
  • Manish is a good actor but somehow is not very convincing as Mukund or rather his pairing with Drashti isn't being appreciated...
Putting something here that i put in one of my previous posts

Though I like Manish as an actor and he is good but frankly somewhere he does not make up a for a good match with Princess DD and feels like a guy who can get easily intimidated. Thus I guess the pairing is not settling well with everyone around... And yes I won't deny I too feel the same at times...

Having said that think other way around we really required a character who you feel could be easily intimidated... and does not stand a chance in front of RK or even Madhu for that matter...

And for what i have written above just watch that one frame from the engagement ceremony where RK chats with Mukund and Madhu on stage... (i'm unable to find a picture for that here) That one frame is enough to show how Mukund can easily be intimidated by RK and why Manish is a good choice for the role... Thus i guess i can bear Manish around Madhu (but not getting too love dovey with her 😉)

@Azmatazz: Yes, I agree. I also noticed that scene. Madhu looked annoyed at how starstruck Mukund had been. I'm pretty sure that RK won't be end of their relationship (despite his best efforts). At the end of the day, it might just be a lack of compatibility. Maybe Madhu will learn that she's not such a simple girl, and that her dreams aren't so simple either.

Nice post. I'm on the same wavelength as you. The makers decided to take forward the show in such a manner... there must be a reason for it? And we do know that Madhu-RK is the ultimate deal... Some conflicts must be there for any great love story 😆

On the experience part - I'm a little bit happy because Rishabh has been shown as a playboy and they didn't take the route that he falls in love with the nice innocent little girl. [specifically, since he is set to destroy Madhu's world... Let her have at least some fake happiness before destroying her*]

Madhu can stand up to fight for something which is right, emotionally she is quite immature/she doesn't know how to handle people/situations... So if she experiences a betrayal - from Mukund or anyone else - it will only help her to gain a little bit of understanding of things... Life isn't black or white.

*RK being negative - yes, at this point in the story, he is doing evil things... I expect, in the future there will be payback and some... He is the male lead, nobody is deny that. Plus, what are his redeeming qualities - we have no background etc - where's RK father which was supposedly cast :S

Lastly, liking Madhu-Mukund sweet relationship doesn't mean that we can't appreciate the underlying passionate relationship which Rishbala is to be... Despite the TRPs, I like Madhu-Mukund and if this was their story, Madhu could have taught him so much. But, I know it's about Madhu-Rk, so awaiting that too. I'm just laying back and enjoying the show! 😊

Yeah... May be she will realize that she just respects Mukund as a good friend but never loved him... And no matter what he can remain that good friend... But never be a partner or a companion for life... Frankly at this point of time it also feels that Mukund too likes Madhu just because she is good looking... Not once has he appreciated her for anything apart from her beauty😕

Anyways on another note i don't want Madhu's character to just keep taking all the insults from Mukund's mom... She was supposed to be today's girl... I could understand her staying mum all the while during the time of the engagement because may be she felt she was at fault for being late but now when Mukund's mom comes blasting i want Madhu to stand up for herself and her family...
