I figure that there is sometimes no point in writing to the entire team as if this serial tanks, its a hole in your pockets. You loose credibility to an extent, the financial loss is yours. Everybody else (unless you guys have another partner) is only an employee. So have a few thoughts/ feedback/ requests for you. Will appreciate a read. Coming straight to the point here it is:
a) On your own website and initial interviews, you call IPPKND a love story.
Great! Most of us like to be in love. Pray tell me where is the love in this serial? There seems to be only one love surfacing time and again, that of a writing board/ screenplay writers group wanting to hone their 'writing' skills' at a variety of dummy situations such as action, drama, comedy and Star Plus's diktat of woman enpowernment. Unfortunately, the poor prototype they seem to be training themselves on is your serial ...phew.😆😆
For example, unfortunately for you, and fortunately for us Saath Nibhana Saathiya is already is a successful serial. It will be great if this one does not go that path in terms of storytelling and the excessive use of the word ji (Shyam is a villian ...agree?...an abuser ...agree?...an almost murderer...agree?...yet he is still called ji by Khushi and co!!...what a wonderful example of sacrifice and woman enpowerment there ...claps👏👏).
So can you please look into this department and if required hire a fresh bunch of dialogue and screenplay writers. And you may pass on the message to not tweet about this suggestion as I am not following twitter.😃
b) Stop the regression under the garb of token sacrifice
Star Plus has Satyameva Jayate. For that one and half hour it airs, although it shows a variety of social evils/ gaps in India, it leaves one with a positive and reflective feeling😊...because it rounds up with few (and it has never claimed to be the solution for all) positive ideas or messages or suggestions or solutions to tackle these social evils/ gaps.
Ok lets forget about Satyemeva Jayate, because you will say that is not a 5 day serial. Lets look at other examples. I checked around a few serials currently on air.
Pratigya has the guts to tell her husband to bugger off and does not go to rescue his criminal brother, Maanvi has accepted her love for Viraat and is battling cancer in a reasonably positive way, Sandhya managed to convince her Mom-in-law to allow Suraj to participate in a cooking competion and is now helping him win it, Akshara is showering love on a child who has wandered into their family despite receiving not so good vibes from her mother in law and hold on...the new kid on the block Pankhuri had the guts 🥳 to show the door to her newly minted fiance, because he did not respect her family.
Sure these serials also falter, but if women enpowernment is the theme, look at where they are and look at what your hired team is coming up with.
A woman who one week ago was busy dolling up (pun not intended!!!) in a see through Zari saari showing her attractive navel has since then considered abortion (why ...because no one respects the feotus's father, forget about the foetus!!), considered passing a message on prime time 8.00PM television that she wants a boy child (as though girls never have any traits or facial features of their fathers...so dear creative team please look at Bade Achhe Lagte Hain for what cutie pie Pihu reminds Priya of ...yes you got it right, Ram Kapoor...and the last I knew he is a man and the father!!) and resented her brother cosying up to his wife after both he and the wife could have been dead and turned demon and angel respectively...but and this is a huge but...there is not a moment of reflection on what bag of bad eggs her own husband may really be.👎🏼
Another educated woman who cannot tell her mother in law a simple sentence ..."My name is Payal and I am not a Khoon Bhari Taang"👎🏼
And the creme de la creme, who under the name of "sacrifice" has once again...this calls for a repeat ..."once again"...taken an arbitrary, one-sided, "I am and will play God for all"...decision that will not only impact her but a whole host of others beginning with her own parents and sister!!... Cherry on the cake, this is called women enpowernment!!!🤣...And by a 24/ 26 year old!! (she just had a birtday right😃!!)...Had she left becuase "she" wanted a better life ..its still ok..."her leaving because she thinks its sacrifice" ...plain old regressive thinking in a new bottle!👎🏼
Gul, you are a woman, and this is very disappointing!!
3) Decide the crusade of the Abla Naari please once and for all
Lets decide please what Khushi is crusading against...
a) Is it ASR...ermm but she just went helter skelter when he was almost killed proclaiming that she loves him...kabhi pyaar, kabhi comedy ki maar...She hugged him as there is no tomorrow near the poolside...or wait maybe she was just the body double ...or he was the body double...!!
b) Is it the contract marriage...ermmm...but she just spent last few months convincing Shyam...and voila!! ASR himself that the 'grand drag around the fire' means a lot to her and she thinks she is married...so since last weekend what has happend that the script changed so suddenly!!
c) Is it Anjali Di...ermmm...well then what about her own Payal Di😆...so are you now telling us that from February 2012 to now Khushi was baking the wrong cake for the wrong recepient😲😲😲...oh ho achhaa😃...she always meant she wont break the contract marriage for the sake of Anjali Di's shaadi😆

4. Khushi lauv is lauv...ASR's lauv is paani
Yup I accept ASR does not lauv her...as it is he is the most pathetic character here...Happy😃...
So, now can you have scenes to explain the fact that Khushi lauvs him ...ermmmn...And if she does then do you just leave the person you lauv when they most need you??. ...So what if it was Khushi who was pregnant and then the Shyam's truth is out...would Khushi have still left ASR?..and would that have been great for their child?...what if ASR gets cancer and then Shyam comes back...would Khushi have still left ASR?...chuckles!!
I sometimes get responses on my threads and it amuses me ...the way Khushi's love is linked to the bechari tag or the sacrifice tag...and Arnav's love is linked to the abuser tag...So who told Khushi to be with ASR since day one...I did not...
We need a perspective here...nobody does anybody a favor by loving.😊 We all love because loving makes 'US' feel better, feeds OUR own emotional connect...Have you ever heard a mother say I loved you despite everything you did...
To continously reduce this to a one-upmanship, taking the excuse of silly games, comedy and fights ...where the woman is always the bechari sacrifice winner is ...yes regressive and very very myopic!!...no understanding of basic human emotions, love and a bond between two people in love.
And you call this a love story...phew😆😆
5. Sacrifice is great...but accepting responsibility even greater
Khushi has sacrified ...Jai Ho...
One small doubt though...has Khushi accepted the responsibility that she and her family's innocent convenient lie about Shyam led to this...I didnt see a single scene that says that ...instead all scenes are conveniently...(naari shakti of course😆)...so conveniently worded to say "we did it for family"
So it will be great if Khushi who is the epitome of all that is pure, innocent, sacrfifical...can show us a trail blazing pathway to fight all odds with chin up and conquer the challenges...to take another arbitraty decision, that affects two families, without any thought to the consequences does not befit a "aaj ki soch naari"...and unfortunately now the 18 year excuse also cannot be used...because now you are 26😃...yeahhh or maybe 24😃
And while you are at it darling Khushi, you already have one person in your home court...your pathetic excuse of a lover/ husband😊...because no matter what the hell, or in his language 'WT dash' he is ...he proved yet again on the "roses are red but romance is dead " day...after your pretty rendevouz was disturbed...he proved yet again, when he said the word "relax" that he looks out for you...In my ordinary life, this is called Love.😳
He is responsible for you and with you...
Time you did that too😊

I appreciate TRPs, I appreciate the rigors of daily television, I appreciate the Channel's demands...but one should have pride in their concept and the gumption to carry it😳
