Inconvenient Relationship
"Sorry!!!"He loosened his grip breaking the eye contact; she watched the play of strange emotion over his face which she had never seen before, Mayank slammed away those weird feelings and came out of his trance feeling embarrassed what he was doing. He fastened roughness again over his face and regarded her angrily as he remembered her words which she had said few minutes ago "Ermm,what were you saying??Will you please say that again?"
She startled coming out of that moment regarding him with surprising look at his angry, stiff voice and her fuzzy brain started working again, how could she thought he'd some emotions in his heart for her, he was great Mayank Sharma without a Heart, without any feelings.Nupur glared at him and pulled away,"I'll not marry you" she burst out and sucked in her breath, "have you gone mad?" Mayank spoke grimly and she saw anger flushed across his face but she didn't care about it."yes,I have gone mad because I can't marry with that person who don't love me" she turned her head aside, closed her eyes, and swallowed audibly as she fought back the tears congealing in her throat. She swallowed again. "I never thought you'll take my words in this way" he drawled angrily throwing his frustration, Her brows snapped together as she stared up at the heartless person who was glaring at him with great anger in his deep eyes. "What were you expecting me to do after your last night confession" she gritted her teeth, "you were expected me to happy at the fact that you don't love me" The air crackled, "I was expecting to you'll try to understand me but like always you proved me wrong" his eyes narrowed, and his voice grew low and dangerous."Last night I'd expected, too you'll confess your love" she regarded him coldly and Mayank rolled his eyes in anger, "For God sake Nupur, be practical. Why do you want me to do that I don't want" his jaw hardened and his cold eyes cut into hers like shards of green ice. She sensed irritation and anger in his tone and stared at him, his angry gaze pinning her to the spot and tears gushed down on her cheeks. She felt sick. Exactly what had she hoped to accomplish? She couldn't bear looking at him, she thought or may be hoped now he'll try to convince her or he'll say her he needs her in his life but here he seemed fed up of her. "I know Mayank I am stupid, silly girl and you're intelligent, handsome, understanding, loving person, you don't deserve girl like me so it's better for us to break this relationship. because I can't be a mature, practical girl" His brow knit with worry and guilt and his jaw dropped as he looked at her vulnerable face, and her tears had realized him he was too much strict with her, she was his fiance she deserved his love, his care not his anger, it was not her fault if she was not like the way he wanted her.
Mayank swallowed his lump and sucked in his breath, he felt angry and panicked, he gripped her arm and made her look towards him but she turned away her face giving him angry, stubborn look, he breathed and then lifted her chin with his finger and she looked up a him,
"I am sorry, I did not mean that" she stared at him for a long moment and found him honest like always but then his rude words flashed across her mind and she pulled together herself and again that cold, stubborn look settled over her face, "how many times you'll hurt me and then will say sorry" she tried to sound tough but his gaze was distracting her, "exactly!!!"
She blinked her eyes in surprise as he did not get offended but was smiling, "Mayank I am serious" his charming smile really distracting her from her motive," so am I " he replied staring back in her eyes with a smile on his lips and Nupur glared him, "if you're thinking I'll change my decision its wrong because..Because I have been decided and it's my last and final decision, I can't bear your rude behavior" The hastily yet shakily spoken words had been filled with such quiet conviction that Mayank had simply stared at her before he closed the distance between them and put his hands on her shoulders she looked at him with the blurring sight due to her tears, "I am sorry if my words have hurt you Nupur,I really didn't mean to hurt you, I never want to hurt you but I've hurt you every time, because our ways of thinking and taking things is extremely opposite to each other, last night when you asked me truth, trust me I poured out my heart in front you in hope this time you'll understand me, if I wanted I could lie to you. but do you like me to lie to you?"She nodded her head.
"That what exactly I did, and I told you truth what I feel for you because I don't want to hide anything from you. Did I do wrong?"She again nodded her head staring back into his deep eyes and Mayank smiled, "I just need some time Nupur .and trust me you're the only girl in my life, this relation is really close to my heart"
She could feel truth in those words and she knew he meant that, and she smiled for the first time, a slow, enchanting smile that illuminated her face and turned Mayank's bones to water and he felt himself lost in her face, she looked so beautiful, so fresh, Without realizing what he was doing, he lifted his hand and reverently traced her smooth cheek with his fingertips, she shivered at the contact of skin and Mayank removed away his hand coming back to his senses and looked embarrassed ,gazing at her, tried to deny the feelings that were coursing through him. This was insane, he told himself .Nupur regarded him with pair of confuse eyes and he quickly pulled together himself cursing those weird emotions..
"I am sorry Mayank I shouldn't have reacted in that way" A spark of amusement lit his eyes and he looked down at her and smiled who was giving him an understanding smile, he looked at the tears still clinging to her curly lashes and with the great urge he wiped them off..
"Finally something good in our relationship as today we both accepted our mistakes for the first time"He chuckled and she smiled forgetting her complaints and grievances.
