Hmmm Komal beat Abhi's mom...never know what children learn from their parents over the years and when and where it shows up. Of all the things to learn...beating a woman older than her by decades?
But then this is karma and Komal is mirroring back to SS who he has been over the years, beating SDS and KN with jhoota when his pride was hurt or his control freak status was threatened in any way.
As much as people attempt to change (as Komal has over the years) their true nature always surfaces when their emotional buttons are pushed.
Somewhere in that behavior of Komal's with the yelling and beating is a brewing frustration, anger and other emotions she hasn't dealt with or didn't want to deal with in recent weeks.
K is very much like SS in many ways. So his father had a son out of wedlock. SS was married to a girl younger than Komal. KN was married to Arusia while still married to Kesar, then married a "lady of the night", SDS set herself on fire and tried to destroy Kriya's marriage. K kidnapped an innocent girl to get his Dad back. K shot Prats...It's just another in a series of incidents in the Takur household where their "izzat" has been compromised in public yet again. They are not doing anything to keep things private either. How does a tantrum in public resolve such things?
This track goes to show that the golden boy K's dark side has raised his head. He wanted his condition met before he would save the life of his "blood brother". Not so pure hearted after all. š¤
KN ...the goody two-shoes side of KN didn't last very long. Like Komal his real nature resurfaced with the threat of change to the dynamics of the family. If he has an issue with his step-mom(or was she SS's mistress?) he should remember who he was recently married to ...Men-ka rani.š
Very sharp observations, Merarai. šš I agree with your post. If anything, Komal is annoyed because thanks to Tanmay she is a widow and no longer Saxena wife so she needs to hold on to something, and her role as a single mom isn't enough. Neither is her new occupation as a cook for her side business with Arushi. So she goes back to her only solid identity as a Daddy's girl. She could have stayed home and planned menus or some other task while letting her brothers take care of the haveli matter, but no she had to run to the hospital and give her two cents to SS and Shakuntala.
Yes, Krishna the favorite son has a dark side in spite of his most-loved status in that house and it's showing in its fullness with this track. He even told his brother not to go after Abhimanyu, and refused to cheat during the match, but when he found out the truth he went back to taking Shakti's side because blood is thicker than water. Yes, he has the same type as Abhimanyu, but he has the same mother as Shakti so he is going to go with the side of his illiterate older sibling. Setting conditions on this person's life is so ridiculous. Abhimanyu wouldn't have needed blood in the first place if Shakti did not pay someone to poison him. Prats wouldn't have needed medical treatment and been knocked unconscious if the same man did not try to run over Abhi in his jeep. Do they even care about the fact that advocate Abhimanyu has worked to help his entire community rather than ruling over it through violence? What exactly has any of the Thakur children done to benefit others besides themselves? Even after Komal has hit her, Shakuntala sets aside anything she may feel for herself and she begs Krishna to save her son.
These three children of the Thakurain, more than being upset about the betrayal of their mother are upset for themselves. They were already threatened by the mere presence of Abhimanyu and his mother in their haveli, but knowing why they were there was enough to push them over the edge. In order to preserve their sense of self, they have to strike out verbally and physically, claiming the high moral ground for themselves as you said to avoid losing "izzat." The only three people in that house who have not reacted to Abhimanyu in a moronic way are SS, Pratigya, and Samar. Samar may be the child of Shakti and Kesar, but he is a child and he responds to whoever gives him some kind of entertainment and affection. Pratigya was always nice to the lawyer, but then she understood him after she found out the truth. Pratigya grew up with a loving father, Krishna did too. Abhimanyu did not entirely feel the way they did growing up. Instead of saying they don't want SS any more, it's easier to just make him come back to the haveli and repair the damage that's been done.
