Anushka tries to patch up with Deepika

Not so long ago, they were fighting over Ranbir Kapoor

Anushka Sharma is surely not a competitive girl. Some time ago she praised Katrina Kaif to the skies after watching 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. And now she has extended the olive branch of friendship to none other than arch rival Deepika Padukone.

Rumours say that as soon as she walked out the theatre screening 'Cocktail' the first person she sent a congratulatory message to was Deepika Padukone. It's quite a surprising move considering the two girls have been avoiding each other like the plague! The bone of contention here, being none other than Ranbir Kapoor.

But apparently Deepika is so pleased about the message that she's decided to forgive and forget. A friend of hers says, "She immediately thanked Anushka, since her performance as Veronica in Cocktail is very special to her."

There was a time when Deepika would lose her temper at the mere mention of Anushka. The Sharma girl got a little too close for comfort with Ranbir, just after he broke up with Dips. Going a step further, she apparently also pushed for Ayaan Mukherji's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' with the actor. But Dips managed to pip her at the post and get the film instead.

We guess time, as they say, heals all wounds. Anushka is now happily holidaying with boyfriend Ranveer Singh in Spain, with all thoughts of Ranbir being a thing of the past. Ranbir himself is pining for Kat Kaif. Dips, is without a boyfriend which, she says, is the best place for her to be right now!
