With passing away of so many legends one after other, seems like an era has come to an end. The list is long. There is always some special Program going on every week with passing of some legend, Jagjeet Singh, Mehndi Hasan, Dara Singh, Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand to name a few.The biggest loss has been to music. The singers and actors gave full justice to the songs and made them everlasting.Any memories/songs of that era..Please share..

This month end marks the passing of my all-time favourite singer, Mohd. Rafi.

I know I much prefer to take out a Mohd. Rafi, Lata M, Kishore Kumar, Mahendra Kapoor.. CD when I have some downtime relaxing or when I'm driving home from a long day at work. I buy new CD's sometimes, but most of the songs don't get an airing more than a few times (good think Saavn came along and I can save my $$). That's a sad commentary for most of today's music - they don't seem to stay with me like the Golden Oldies. I don't know how many times I've heard songs like "Yeh duniya, yeh mehfil" or the songs from Dosti, Jab Jab Phool Khile, etc., but they always seem so fresh when I come across them again and I take away something new from them each time. I guess that's why they are everlasting. 😊
