Initial Reactions on the forum to Ashu's decision were 😡 But I am totally happy with the way the episode panned out... I think it was commendable that Ashu managed to get her reinstated within a day... He took care of Nidhi's feelings...

However Lets look at what Ashu's options were

1. He couldn't obviously have Nidhi report to him (They probably wouldn't get any work done eitherways)

2. He couldn't ask any other Sr. Doctor to mentor Nidhi... They might agree that she is his wife but they would question her capability

3. He couldn't have Nidhi report to Resident Doctors...

They are Nidhi's batch mates and asking her to report to Priyanka or Jyotika would be running salt to her injuries.

This however happens in real life when we join back after a break... sadly we report to our academic juniors and there is no scope to feel bad... Not all of our husbands are our bosses who can pull strings to get what we want..

4. He tried to get her working in Admin but Ranga was uncomfortable.

What other option did Ashu have? Any ideas??

Ashu was ri8 there n Nids wil try 2 undrstand dis.He cud hv given her Any other Work lyk Helping him or managing hospitality! Coz she wil take tym to take BIG responsibility. Nyc post similar to Mudra ji's. Regards

frankly i was angry at first but later on a 2nd thhought found wat ashu did was logical...i think ashu wants nidhi to prove herself so that he doesnt have any prob to work under other senior docs(no question of ashu preferring his wife)

Fanktlk, i totally agree wid u. Obviously Ashu couldnt have kept her under himself. If he had kept her under any of his colleagues, it would have been an awkward position for that colleague - being ashu's wife, they couldnt have pointed out her mistakes or scolded her like any other intern.

This fact that his colleagues would be uncomfortable dealing with nidhi professionally was well brought out thru ranga - even though he is v. comfy with her personally, he was hesitant to supervise her.

Actually i dnt understand... i've few cousins who r intern and working under sr. doctors... they need to report tht doctor... read case history... check condition... swht nurse type of work... bt not admin work... thn y ashu gave her Admin work... he cn appoint her as fresh intern... as she ws whn 1st she joined Kotnis... isn't it possible??

But they would need to report to someone right?? Also as per the records Nidhi was fired for indiscipline... So it would be very difficult to expect the other Sr. doctors wanting to work with her if she hasn't proven herself. It is also been a while since she passed her exams...

In real life degrees have a shelf life within which everyone is expected to start working... Meaning a 2012 pass out candidate would be preferred over someone who is a 2011 passout and with no experience.

KGH is supposed to be the best hospital in Lucknow... so even interns would get interviewed...

Ashu managed to get her back... but from here it is Nidhi's battle to prove herself without taking Ashu's help.
