Khushi accepted that she had no proofs but that she knew she was truthful. She called to Arnav and pleaded him to judge. She called upon the fact - the faith - that Arnav knew her. He'd believe her because he knew her, not because she was able to produce proofs. It was her faith that in the lack of proofs, Arnav would believe her.

I'd mentioned a while back when there was the sequence about
ASR being blindfolded and beaten while Shyam sat in the chair - that this was an important one.

To me (at least) the scene was more about Shyam being insane
than Arnav being beaten and mocked. I feel it was necessary - because ASR should to have a first hand experience on how 'insane' Shyam can be. I s'pose the day ASR realizes that the man who was watching him get beaten and mocked was indeed Shyam.

He had some conflict when Khushi told him that Shyam was the
kidnapper. He's been listening to the whole drama very carefully. If this was not done, then Shashi's revelation would probably come in at a much higher shock and probable disbelief.

Even now, what is being disclosed is that Shyam is a philanderer and a kidnapper. There are no proofs yet so he cannot be jailed. He's being pushed out only because he's riled up ASR.

Khushi and Payal think they know how vile Shyam can be. No

Arnav is totally in acceptance that he is in love. He is now
expressing it openly that he loves Khushi. He accepts Khushi as she is - with all the filth, scratches and stains. All that doesn't bother him a bit! All he is focused on is Khushi. (He himself is rather filthy still.)

In the past when Arnav has attempted to kiss Khushi, he was
rarely as sincere and serious as he is now. Khushi's reaction was a mix of fear, unrest, confusion, uncertainty, anger even. She resisted. She stepped back. Her heartbeat could probably be heard on the moon.

Khushi looks like she is asleep. She doesn't know Arnav is so
close. She doesn't see that he is expressing his love for her, to her. What happened? She senses that he is around, if he is more than a fe blocks away just thinking about her. She knows Arnav is near and staring at her, even when she is looking the other way. She can hear him call her name even when he isn't saying it out loud. She can sense he's in danger even while she sleeps.

Why isn't Khushi reacting when Arnav is so close, so in love,

It reminds me of the moment when quite recently Arnav brought
her out of the pit she had fallen into. She had no heartbeat or breath. She wasn't holding onto Arnav any more. She did not respond to Arnav's constant call, order or pleading. She did not respond to his kisses. She did not respond to any medical help. Khushi had been nearly dead. Though, even a nearly dead Khushi responded to Arnav's heartbeat.

Setting the Tone for Future
1. Shyam was relentlessly tearing down Khushi and Payal.

Arnav heard the kidnappers coming. He hit Khushi to save her
from others hurting her, and himself went away with those that held him captive. Khushi understood.

2. Shyam refused to give up. (Arnav looked so irritated when Shyam continued after he'd asked to discuss later.) He continued to insult Khushi. He went to the point of making her look like a girl who wanted men to run around her. Anyone who spoke for Khushi was either insulted or used for further insulting Khushi.

insult at Khushi, he was all set to stand for Khushi. The next second, he took note of his sister and he controlled his rage. He seemed to be seething inside, but he didn't say a word.

3. Khushi turned to Arnav when everything else failed. She pleaded with him. She asked him to once look at her because he knows her. If he'd just look into her eyes once, he'd know the truth. Arnav responded to Khushi's call. He knew she wasn't lying. He turned to Shyam. He clarified in a moment what he thought of Khushi and of Shyam. He announced her as his wife and the most important part of his life, together with his sister.
She fell and called his name. Arnav fought off all the kidnappers and cam rushing to the ledge. Khushi had slipped off it. But Arnav got up back up and revived her.

Strangely, Akash stood quiet. Akash, who know very well that
