My personal viewpoint is it's all or nothing. You cannot pick and choose which non-related threads get closed. So basically anything related to birthdays, personal achievements, fun posts, new into posts, members leaving etc can all get canned.

I agree with the opening post. One thread about missing somebody so didn't have to be closed. Definitely was related to SNS. From now On we should a disclaimer "this thread about saathiya 1 (may 2010 - 6 June, 2012). Only people interested in this era come have a discussuion. Can we be permitted to do that?

You all are making good points. I really hope we get some answers. This forum is not only for a show, but it also provides us time to wind down and have fun with friends who all share an interest in the serial. We may not make posts directly linked to the serial, but we are all linked because of the serial. This is not a class room where we have to stay glued to what's in the syllabus. Even in a class room, the teacher gives time to mingle.

hey great post!! yes, this past month, we had restricted freedom on the forum.. which was unfair and baised.. many threads, unessesarily getting closed down, members taking things the wrong way, one side bring supported by the leaders and the other side left hanging, expected to discuss everything on one topic.. but i hope that this post has an affect..

At one point the SNS forum was the nicest place to be. Members were friendly, respectful (most of the time!) and we had fun.

I am on verge of permanent departure from this SNS forum .. to be utterly blunt. . its plain depressing. . and one person leaving is not big deal anyways. .

hmm. . that means. . that we disregard her existence in SNS. . never discuss about the old days/SNS days. . oh yeah i get it. . i think we are required only to talk abotu SNS and SNS characters = reel characters. . . not the rael characters . . the actors who enacted the roles. .

the actors are all garbage. . once out of SNS . . we shud forget them , disregard their existence, .. and those who talk about them or want to voice their opinion or efforts to their cause. . they shud be banned from this forum . .

I know pple tend to make too many threads on same issue. . but as humans. . thats obvious. . instaed of clamping down . .instead of bringing things under control in a educated manner. . what happened was that majority Giaa + posts being clamped down as if its a terrible crime. . . .and bashing on both sides making things worse. . .

How are you picking and choosing and how are you making this judgment? Based on what rules?
Are we under some kind of emergency law where the forum is going to be censored to favor just a chosen few?
Do you want all of us to just get out of here?

We never said that you have to only discuss the current tracks. This forum is open to all discussions related SNS, as long as they are not abusive in any way.

There are many such posts. Just a few days back there were many discussions on the absence of Kinjal and Dhaval from the storyline. Many times in the past Anita has been discussed, even before news of her return hit the tabloids.

There are many such posts as well, which we have never closed.
3. New member intros?

There is a separate thread for that, but we have never closed down a post of a new member introducing themselves.

Once again, we have never closed a post where a member was wishing the forum farewell.
5. Pictures/vm's including past actors playing SNS characters or including actors outside SNS?

There is a separate thread for creations as well for pictures, but I repeat, we have never stopped people from posting them on the main forum

And as you can see, there is a separate thread to discuss Giaa on JDJ. There is a separate JDJ forum, but since Giaa was a part of SNS, the thread is up.

People have been discussing these since the very beginning of the show. Remember back to the time when Giaa was caught at the Hookah bar. There were numerous discussions on that. Everyone was free to discuss.

Written creations are also very much welcome.

We close a post if it is absolutely unrelated to SNS.

Some examples are...

If someone is posting a message for their friends, we encourage the use of the PM service.

If someone is advertising another site, those topics are trashed.

If someone is discussing another show, there are designated forums for that.

If someone is comparing the actors/characters of 2 different shows. Comparisons are not allowed on IF because it leads to the fans of both parties fighting.

If there is chatting going on in a discussion thread, it is closed because chatting is not allowed on IF. But there is a separate Gup Shup corner if people wish to chat. or the PM service.

If people wish to discuss things like politics/religion/music/poetry/movies/sports or any such things, there are general forums for such things. And if they wish to take their friends opinions, they are free to PM their friends and ask them to participate in the discussion on that forum

In the future if you have any issues regarding this, then feel free to PM either myself or Sadhli. We will be more than happy to clear any doubts or answer any questions.

I have read though the entire thread. Obviously people have a lot to say on the issue of closing posts. Why are so many posts being closed these days? Because they contain bashing, or fighting, or instigating, or atacking. If left open these are the threads that go on to become extremely problematic.

If people have issues with this or questions regarding this, then please PM us. That is what we are here for, to maintain peace here. We are not Pro Giaa or Pro Dev, nor do we take pleasure in closing topics on whim, we do it for a reason.

If anyone wishes to convey something or has any issues, then please contact us.

Thanks for taking the time to explain the rules. I think members should now be clear on what they can and can not post. I feel the original rules still are in tact even if during the last few days, there has been some turmoil on the forum which may have led to some posts being closed that shouldn't have been. I do hope if there are any Giaa or Ira Soni or Devoleena posts, they are not closed without any valid reason.
