This is probably one of the many posts about Virat's performance yesterday, and mine is not that good, but hell, I just couldn't help myself...It's VirMan afterall, so here goes...
Yesterday's mother-son heart to heart was one of the best scenes in EHMMBH so far, and Virat truly broke my heart yesterday with these dialogues.
The way he said, Jaanta tha tum aise hi react karogi.Chali jaogi mujhe chhodke, the pain in his eyes, the ache in his heart was so well portrayed by Virat in such simple lines. These are the expressions of a guy, so madly and selflessly in love, that he doesn't even care whether his girl loves him back or not. He knew then that she might not feel the same, but he continued to love her still. How often do we find love as selfless as that? Hats off to you Kushal for such a tremendous job!
I love how Manvi couldn't hide from him when he said these words. She wants to deny it him, to prove him wrong, to tell him that she wouldn't have left, if she had the choice. She is longing to tell him that he is mistaken, that she does love him, but she can't. Well done, Nia! As usual!
In today's world, where love is like an equation, where in, only if all required elements are present, then the equation can move forward. Love is like a set of laws nowadays. If I love you, you have to love me back. When a guy loves a girl, he chases her, and does everything in his power , not to make her happy, but to make her love him back. Convincing a girl to fall in love with him becomes the main mission of a guy in love.
But Virat? How selfless can you be? You really don't belong in this world yaar!
Chalo, ek bewakufi aur sahi...He is ready to portray himself as a complete loser, a useless piece of dust in front of his own family, just so he can convince Manvi to stay! Not so that he can have a chance at romancing her, but to take care of her and spend every living moment with her as her guardian, her partner till the very end.
When he said, Please mujhe chhod ke mat jao. Main tumhara khyaal kaise rakh paounga? Please mujhe itni badi sazaa mat do, we could feel the anguish in his voice. We could feel his sorrow at losing his world, his happiness. The despair and the misery in his heart, knowing that his love might leave the world soon wasn't enough? Now he had to cope with her leaving his world, even before she left hers? What crime had he committed that he had been sentenced to such a punishment?
Aaj mera pyaar mujhse door jar aha hai, aur aap log ko koi fika nahi...Shows the disappointment of a son towards his family, the ones he loved so much. He had accepted the fact that his girl might not support his love, but to have his family turn his back to him, was it fair? He hadn't done anybody any wrong. Then why was he alone? Why wasn't anybody by his side? Why was everyone blaming him, instead of defending him? Why wasn't anyone stopping his girl from leaving his life?
Main Manvi ko khone se pehle paana chahta hun, chahe sirf kuch hi palon ke liye hi kyun nahi...
How does it feel, when you realize that the light of your life is about to burn out? Do you stop looking at the light and look for a new ray of sunshine? Or do you hang on to every last moment, with every ounce of energy left in you, until your last breath? Can you love the light and appreciate it's every particle even though you know it might fade out? Can you? How strong can you be?
As strong as Virat? Who has already accepted the fact that death might create a permanent barrier between him and his love. He could turn away, and look for a new source of happiness. But he chooses to stay, to keep fighting until the very end. And all he asks in return is for a few more moments to cherish with his love. A few more seconds of happiness would be enough to spend an entire lifetime. That's all he's asking for.
Itna hi to maang raha hun, kuch bohot zyada toh nahi maang liya?
Isn't he entitled to at least that much? Doesn't he deserve even a fraction of the love he has showered on his love? Would it be fair for fate to be so cruel to him?
Lets see, how unfair fate can get. Or whether fate decides to favour him afterall...
