Someone once said--"A fastidious person in the throes of love is a rich source of mirth."?It seems that this holds true for Aarti judging by her confusion regarding her newfound alien feelings and uncharacteristic behavior from yesterday's episode, bordering upon hilarity. Her self doubt, self talk and silent mooning over Yash are clear indications that she's fallen hook line and sinker for her newly wedded hubby. The love shining through her eyes and her animated face when she's around Yash is obvious for anyone to see, with the exception of herself that is ! I loved the way Shobhaji intuitively preempted and clarified Aarti's confusion regarding the state of being in love ( by citing her own example with Mr. Dubey) like a true mother, even before Aarti spoke a word. Shobhaji's reassurance that it was possible to fall in love more than once seemed to have opened Aarti's heart to mulling over the possibility that she may actually be in love.
For both Aarti and Yash their first love was intense, passionate and memorable. So memorable that it seemed to cast a shadow on relationships for ever afterwards----Yash's first relationship became so idealized, that it set up unrealistic benchmarks for subsequent relationships-----and hence his possessive clinging onto Arpita's memories and unwillingness to enter into any other relationship for fear of doing injustice to the beautiful moments shared with Arpita. But as we all know, " Love cannot endure indifference. It needs to be wanted. Like a lamp, it needs to be fed out of the oil of another's heart, or its flame burns low."
Aarti's relationship turned sour and her latest face off with Prashant opened her eyes to the kind of person he truly was and helped her to fall in love with Yash, but I fear that Yash may not be able reciprocate so easily and Aarti may become a casualty of love here ---at least initially. We see the seeds of jealousy taking root in Aarti's mind upon hearing Neha's reference to Yash's body and ability to keep her safe as well as the lipstick marks and hair on Yash's T-shirt, suggesting that Shobhaji's "pyaar ka panchnaama" is working , thanks to Prateek and Vidhi's (annoying)goading and persistence!
Yash seems to be the designated savior of damsels in distress----his slap followed by a promise to unite Neha with her love Kunal (because he can't bear to see true lovers separated) seems to indicate that he's finally softening his views towards love and would hopefully be more malleable and accommodative of Aarti's advances ----fingers crossed for Aarti's entry into his heart.
