Mashallah! loved the post.. i tend to forgive quicker, what is the point of grudges? forgive and forget...

hey Xsumi...great posts,

i forgiveness is the big thing in life and whoever forgives and comes out of this anger, ego, they stand tall compared to others...

may be even i want to forgive (but i think who i am to forgive)

if anyone thinks that i have to forgive someone(hope i deserve to forgive someone/i am qualified to forgive someone), than i say i am no one to forgive, just asking forgiveness for the sake of asking wont carry any value and worth, yes it is true it needs lot of courage to realize your mistake and ask for forgiveness...

Religious thing i dont know much because we are not practiced to read religious books, as most of us wont do it...

my additon to this is..
"Show in your behviuor and character that you deserve a forgiveness, because silence and goodness speaks more than words, and not only a god, everyone will love you for what you have become the inner beauty speaks more than the outside illuiosn world"..

yes we are no one to forgive, there is no need to carry these grudges further,...

But i will ask one question to you and whoever is saying they deserve a apology because they have guts to ask apology and they have realized their mistakes...
i say i am no one to forgive anyone...
instaed of asking this apology, if you show in your behaviour and in your post that you have really changed and you deserve to get love and respect form the people you have hurt that makes lot of deifference than a simple apology thread...

show that you too deserve love and respect...from forum and from all the members..

Thank you Sumi for your post.

Here is what my religion says about forgiveness. We are commanded to forgive because if we don't God will not forgive us of our sins. We are not supposed to pray if we have ought (anger, hatred, malice, jealousy) in our heart towards others.

Mark 11:25-26

25. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 6:37

37. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Colossians 3:13

13. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Luke 17:3-4

3. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Matthew 6:14 & 15

14. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

I practice Rajyoga meditation. In this we learnt that it is most important to understand that a person has a reason to do whatever they did.. Many times, if we look back we may have done big blunders... It is best to forget and move on... negative energy pulls you back when you try to move ahead.. don't ask questions, why, how etc... so best is to forget and delete from your system, delete means, remove it from the recycle bin..

We forgive not the other person, but we forgive ourselves because we are creating the pain to ourselves, emtional pain, trauma.. so once forgive yourself, you are healed from the pain... the other person who we think has hurt us, will not come and heal us but we heal ourselves..
