Chapter 33
She saw him sleeping like a baby, with his lips a little pouted. He look clamed. He looked relaxed.
Khushi couldnot stop herself and dropped herself beside him on the ground.
She look his hand which was hanging and gripped it. Her fingers autometically caressed his paln and trailing her fingers on his fingers.
Arnav's sleep became light, he wiggled a little, but khushi just ignored it.
She started admiring her strong hand. A tear escaped her eyes. After so many years she was able to touch him, he see him infront of her. She placed a feathery kiss on his hand while gripping it more and more.
Arnav on the other hand was fully aware of what she was doing. But he decided to act as if he was in deep sleep.
She kept her head on the recliner side beside his waist, when he opened his eyes and looked at her state. He picked the other hand to touch her head but he didnot. He wanted her to want him before he took any step towards her.
He closed his eyes and rested patinetly for her next move.
After few minute khushi held her head up and looked at him. She once again rested her head on the recliner but this time she was facing him, admiring him, looking at his face, his eyes, his nose, his stubble, his lips.
She closed her eyes and thought about the day when they had kissed on the road, in the rain, how she desperately wanted to kiss him that day, without caring the consiquences, without even thinking about the state she was in she just wanted him and he gave him to her.
She opened her eyes and thought, nothing has changed from that day, she equally want him today, she wants to kiss him with all her heart, all her emotions, show him how desparetely she wanted him, how she missed him badly these days. How she was sorry to behave like an a** with him, when he was so concerned and careing for her.
She crawled towards him and settled herself near his chest. She could hear his heartbeat which was beating in the same rhythem as hers. She could hear both the beats merge together. At one point of them it was difficult for her to even distinguish between the two whether it was hers or his.
How can it be she thought when she herself knows that the heart within herself beats only for him and his only for hers. She placed a feathery kiss on her chest simultanously touching his chest with her soft palm.
Arnav couldnot help but gulp, but khushi was so engrosed looking at his chest that she missed to see that.
Arnav was trying hard to be composed and not to react but she was not letting him to stay like that. Arnav forced all his will power not to react at all. Today he wanted to see how far she can go. How much she wanted him, how much she missed him.
It was more than half an hour now, the darkness was gradually fading away with the incoming dawn, the twittering of birds, the movements in the atmosphere has just started to overule the darkness.
Khushi got up from the ground still holding his palm. She placed his hand on his abs and leaned towards his face, the light breeze was caressing his face, making his ruffled hair fly, giving her the full veiw of his face.
Today for the first time she felt, she was admiring a MAN, arnav was no more a cute, handsome teenager. lot of things has changed, the way he looks now, handsome, manly, the way he carries himself in three piece suti, extremely magnatic, the way he gelled his hair giving an umph factor, he looked no less a greek god.
She leaned further and looking at his face, remembering how he kissed her to break her into cry when she was in shock after she lost Angad. Her eyes welled up, she leaned further to kiss his forehead just when a tiny drop fell from her eyes on his forehead which made him open his eyes instantly looking directly in her eyes.
She moved back realising his awareness quickly wipped her tears.
He looked at her "Khushi" he said in his husky voice.
Khushi immidiately turned her back towards him and stood frozen.
Arnav got up from the recliner.
Arnav: Khushi!
He saw her moving nervously.
Arnav: Khushi (he again called her)
Khushi took a step towards her room just when he held her wrist stopping her.
Khushi fisted her fingers and closed her eyes, breadthing heavily.
Arnav: Kuch kehna tha?
Khushi opened her eyes still with her back facing him.
Arnav came a little close to her and touched her shoulders with both his hands.
Arnav: Agar kuch kehna nahi tha to phir yahan kya kar rahi ho aur woh bhi iss samaye?
Khushi: WOh...meye...
Arnav: Woh meye kya khushi?
Khushi: Woh...actually...
Arnav: What?
Khushi: Nothing (she was about to go but she was again stopped by him, but this time he stood infront of him looking directly in her eyes)
Khushi became all the more conscious and she looked down not able to meet his gaze.
Arnav again held her shoulder and asked her
Arnav: Are you sure, you dont want to say anything?
Khushi looked at him, their eyes met and locked.
Arnav could see her parted lips, her anxity to touch him once, her restlessness to talk to him.
Arnav once again asked her. "You want to say something khushi?"
Khushi didnot know why she couldnot talk to him, why she was not able to approach him. why she was not able to talk her heart out.
Khushi nodded NO while her eyes welled up, his face became blur due to her tears, she stepped backward and finally ran away from him.
Arnav: KHUSHI!!!
He closed his eyes and finally exhaled which he was holding for long time.
"I am sorry khushi" but this time it has to be you who have to take the first step, i cant, i really cant, i want you to feel me, i want you to come running in my arms, i want you to kiss me and break this silence, i cant do anything even if i want to. but one thing is never going to change is that I Love you a lot. a lot then you can ever imagine. i want to give you space to think which i have already given you and will continue to so that you feel the need to ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA in your life.

Arnav just came back from his regular jog. He heard some noice coming from the kitchen. It was quite early for someone to be in the kitchen.
Unlike other days he went for a jog quite early in the morning so he was back around 6.45am.
He went towards the kitchen to find out khushi, busy in making breakfast. He smiled looking at her, wearing a navy blue saree, her pallu tucked inside her waist, her bangles making sweet noice, irritating her sometimes in her work, her locks disturbing many times tickling her face and she continuously tucking it behind, but all her focus was on the breakfast. He knew she was making it for him. He smiled and went to his room planning his next step.
He cursed himself for making her face all these but he knew that it was the only way she would realise.
