All the Shanatics and Maniacs can collectively rejoice or scream out loud, as the dynamic twosome - Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have just landed in Toronto this afternoon to premiere their latest film, Teri Meri Kahaani.

After globetrotting from Dubai to London where the Teri Meri Kahaani (TMK) premiered on June 20 and 21st respectively, Toronto is the final chapter and grand finale of Shahid and Priyanka's pressing promotional spree for the 1910 to 2012 thrice upon a love story.

Inspite of the jet setting travel and sure fatigue both Shahid and Priyanka were in good spirits on arriving in Toronto. They went took group pictures with fans who were patiently awaiting their arrival.

Shahid and Priyanka were both dressed casually chic perfectly comfortable for travel.

Teri Meri Kahaani producer Vicky Bahri and Director Kunal Kohli arrived on the same flight as the film's leading man and lady.

The Toronto Premiere will be held tonight at the historic Winter Garden Theatre and is going to be high on the noise meter as hundreds of fans gather to catch a glimpse of Shahid and Priyanka fashionably walking the Red Carpet.

The Premiere will be followed by an After Party at the Grand Empire Banquet & Convention Centre in Brampton.

Teri Meri Kahaani which releases in theatres today has been meeting with encouraging reviews from critics and positive feedback from audiences so far.

Some Love Stories are epic and Some Love Stories are episodic - Teri Meri Kahaani falls into the category of the latter.

Can we truly love one person throughout our life and hope that fate makes us meet with the same person in every life of ours? Addressing the topic of soul mates, jaanam-jaanam ke saathi, made for each other types of Kahaani without the added drama of reincarnation or rebirth.

A cool take on an age old concept, Kunal Kohli's Teri Meri Kahaani charms with the simplicity of a no frills narrative style which fluidly transitions from one era to the other.

Teri Meri Kahaani takes the viewer through a journey of eternal love between a couple who have vowed to love each other not only in this life but in every life to follow. Their love is so strong that even destiny wants to bring them together. Starting in 1960 Bombay with Govind and Ruksar, TMK then moves ahead to present times, 2012 England with Radha and Krish and then rewinds back in time to Punjab, 1910 with Aradhana and Javed.

Each chapter is true to the spirit of the era it is depicting on celluloid. The language, lingo, banter, baat-cheet and exchanges between characters is aptly suited and spot-on for the time being showcased whether it be 1910, 1960 and especially the relatable today of 2012.

Teri Meri Kahaani falls into an evolving new genre of slice of life romances, which aren't epically extravagant but are just simply subdued and subtle. The hero is no Raj and his heroine is no Simran rather the boy or girl next door may possibly be more reminiscent of the person onscreen.

The music of the film is definitely one of its strong suits whether it be the catchy Mukhtasar, soulful Allah Jaane, groovy Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff, foot tapping Humse Pyaar Karle Tu or hummable Thats All I Really Wanna Do - each number stands out individually for fresh picturization and interesting choreography.

Shahid Kapoor shines again in a space he is meant to excel in as an actor, romance. As Javed he is perfectly obnoxious in a shayarana andaaz, As Govind he is perfectly loveable in an innocent way and As Krish he is perfectly nonchalant going about business in a blas mode. He is in his comfort zone and it shows as with as effortless confidence he pulls off three different characters differently.

Priyanka Chopra is the perfect two to Shahid's one, she balances him rightly onscreen. Showcasing an understated versatility PC navigates the three women - Ruksar, Aradhana and Radha unvaryingly. Admittedly a hardcore romantic, Priyanka in her first out and out romantic film is a new dimension for the multidimensional PC.

Teri Meri Kahaani is a slice of fuss free, easy going, pleasant on the eyes romance. Go for it for some breezy fun at the cinemas this weekend.
