Hey Everyone,
We all felt bad when Sanaya was not nominated in SPA. It was unfair on her part. I think Sanaya was also disappointed because when someone from the audience brought it up during her U.K. trip, she just maintained silence. So yes even though we saw her celebrating wholeheartedly for her costars, we know that somewhere she must have wondered at least once "What was my shortcoming as an actor? Where did I go wrong in doing justice to Khushi's character?" It's not worth commenting on SPA, but it's time to act on the opportunity presented to us by Gold Awards. Let's do everything to make Sanaya win and let her know that she's loved as KKSGR.
She's nominated in three categories:
Best Jodi (with Barun)
Best Actor (female)
Fittest Actor (female)
Note: The purpose of this thread is to discuss anything related to Sanaya's nomination as Khushi. The moderator kindly agreed to reopen the thread so that we can have a thread dedicated just to Sanaya. I will copy any significant information discussed on this thread on the parent post. So please refrain from creating any other thread for this purpose.

An important clarification:
There seems to be an assumption that Sanaya was nominated because the Awards show organizers were bombarded with requests by SI fans. This is certainly not the case because:
1. The website was in the process of posting the nominees. While we had 12 nominations for male actors, we had only 11 for female actors.
2. In the mean time, we got the message of "the account being suspended" as the event organizers were not done with the nominations. Yes, it was not an intelligent move to show a snapshot before finalizing all of the categories. But technological glitches are not something new to us.
3. It's irrational to think that SI fans managed to convince the event organizers in about an hour to revise their list and include Sanaya as a nominee for the best female lead.
Conclusion: Sanaya's nomination was not a pity solace but rather a well-thought-of decision taken in the initial stages of finalizing the nominees.
I received some courteous requests stating that I should include Barun in this thread. I first thought it was not required because then I would be repeating the general thread that discusses IPK nominees. After signing out, I could not be at peace. The promise that I'll make a thread specifically for Barun on Thursday did not do me any good. I share a principle with Sanaya: Live as if you might die the very next moment. I kept thinking what if I die tomorrow while driving to uni and the last thing I did was turn down all those requests. Hence, I decided to comply with those requests. At that stage, I said to myself that it's fine even if the Mods close this thread after I make this amendment. But now my intelligent side tells me that in fact I can still argue that this thread is specific to SaRun and the parallel thread is for the entire IPK team - not sure if it is a convincing one though! But I hope so.
Hence, the purpose of this thread is now extended as we include Barun Sobti's nomination.

I was also told that we must pick someone in every category in order for our votes to register. Since I don't watch any show save IPK, I had to just make random choices in other categories. So please make sure you do that too just in case!
