Considering the story line.. it is natural for Ahem not wanting the child..

See, first, he spends a whole year hating his wife, second, he accepts her physically only once - and he DOES NOT remember that at all.. and now, when he loves his wife, he cant go near her fearing the child...how bad can it get... 😉

I think Ahem feels he's been relagated to 2nd position in his wife list, as they don't have some intimate time for themselves.
