Division of thought between Vikram vs Adi-Sugni pa

Creatives/Directors very tricky and clever people. They started by showing us the possible future tracks of the beedis culture and that Sugni may be different strong headed girl who will make an impact to change this awful culture, then came along Vikram with the possibility of him helping her do this either thru friendship or love and along the process Adi being a victim will change and support the cause and the show would go through all the necessary emotions to keep it lively and going.

The projection so far made some of us feel we like the Vikram/Sugni pairing and now they will turn Vikram into a physco of some sort 'the man with many shades' I quote and Adi looks like the new pairing for Sugni.

I thought the whole essence of the show was that they are sending a social message that these dark age practice of sophisticated prostitution is happening and need to fight against it. Hence this serial would be different from others and possibly get critical acclaim but, as per norm the TRP is more important and making money as oppose to changing society's bad habits and wrong doings. This serial would've followed suit to Amir Khans new serial on Star Plus Satyamev Jayate.

Some the forum members have posted to director to look into what the viewers want but who knows if they will listen if not now later perhaps?

Just an after thought can we as forum members literally do anything as viewer to push the directors to change the show in the way we want it to

Yes, the CVs do visit these forums as well as look at the TRPs. The public viewing makes a difference...if a show does not get creative, even the loyal fans will get bored and stop watching. the problem with the show is the PR dept sent a message that conveyed on jodi. But when TVS Sugini was a hit, they have lost focus and do not have another plan of action. Now they are taking on the social issue that they were looking at doing earlier on...OR is there something else up their sleeve.

Public review affects the show ..TRP is main thing for show to run . If they only stick to there story & been not accepted by viewers then wont run for long .
I remember watching naryani speaking about the show ,...theme is on sardhakhi but they cant show 100% reality ..it is in diluted form & mostly tailored in way that audience enjoy too.

True the story should be about conveying social message not about who is romancing whom. There are many romantic serials already.Bednis apparently live in a world where they get despised because of their helplessness and Sugni is one who is trying to free herself from society norms. The show should focus more on her struggles rather than who is she romancing with 😔

It is sad that the creative Heads of the show will eventually go the old tried and tested route of TPR's than sticking to the storyline.
It is also sad but true that the Audience in India have a tendency to turn a blind eye on shows with real social messages by pretending it dose not exsits,( no offence to the Indian audience) and the minute the show gets to serious people start protesting...take Aamir Khan's Series..that got hit by critisim the 1st week. And that is an awesome show!
So to please the people they throw gitter and glamor and cover up what the issue was supposed to be about. throw in a love triangle TPR's go up...throw in a girl being sold into prostitution by her family to rich lecherous men TPR's go down . People forgot the original reason they started watching the show in the first place...sad sad reality .

The audience does influence the CV's but I just hope in doing so, they don't lose focus of the main cause. In the beginning we would see a lot about Rai and Sardhakai. Now it's Sugni working in Vikram's house and their romance... I personally like seeing Vik and Sugni but maybe they should also show the other takurs and more on Rai. Also, the relation of JT and Gulabiya.

i think its way too early to judge, so far they have shown us sugni's a beedi's life journey and romance is part of it. Lets keep watching it and give the CVS some time.

tinkerbeljoy,
good post.

some times, the audience can influence how the story goes. The CVs do take audience feedback.

but depends which audience. audience following this serial online, or people watching it on TV in india? that we don't know.

this show should be about the life of the bedia. But when telling a story, they have to use various techniques, like drama, comedy, romance and all. Otherwise how to keep people glued to the screen for long?

Some serials like Balika Vadhu have managed to keep the story focussed on the main topic, child marriage, even after four years. It is possible for PSH also to keep the focus on the bedia. All they need is good writers. it can be done.

Sigh! I have stopped wishing my expectations on the makers...I think the show would be far more enjoyable if we just watch what the makers have planned.

If TVS stays positive, then I really want to see how the story moves after that because that to my mind is Sugni's Happily Ever After...No matter what the outside world thinks, if she has TVS by her side then there isnt much to worry...now unless the Sister turns saas bahu and starts behkaoing TVS (which would make it all about kitchen politics) how is this track going to move forward?

If TVS turns grey/negative then I really hope they focus on his motivation for doing so. I am really confused about his behaviour and underlying drivers.

Either way I dont care if TVS is Sugni's all consuming once in a lifetime love or whether she is rescued by Adi and later falls in love with him.

I just want a taut screenplay and a good story!
