What is the point of saying Aamir has no right to talk about such subjects? The issues exist regardless of whether we acknowledge them or not.
Yes he is an actor and has lots of endorsements and money, but the fact that he has invested so much of that into this SHOW to bring about the issues which DO EXIST in our nation is commendable. Our anger is only out of a desire to ignore and hide what is real here.
His disclaimer explains all. Why should he apologize when he has clearly explained all intentions in his disclaimer in every show?
The fact of the matter is that these issues are real. And that as a nation we do not talk about them or bring them up. If he wants to show the nation outright the statistics of the problems then so be it! Why should he apologize?
These are all real people with real stories. If we tell him to apologize for bringing their stories to light, we disrespect all that these people have gone through. Because their stories are real, it truly happened to them. And by disregarding Amir's efforts with this show and disregarding the issue, we also disregard the very REAL people who are affected.
And that, friends, is entirely unacceptable.
