Chapter 11:
Arnav woke up to see his room in shambles, all his clothes were on the floor, his things all over the place, what the hell had happened?
"KHUSHI RAIZADA, WHAT THE f**k HAPPENED TO MY ROOM?"
"First, it's GUPTA, KHUSHI GUPTA, and second this is OUR ROOM" came her reply from the bathroom,
"Just tell me why the heck is the room like this?"
"Remember, I told you about the new cupboard? Well, its coming today, so had to take everything out of the closet"
"I get the clothes, but what about my other things?"
"I couldnt find my phone, so I was searching for it"
"You are impossible"
"Like you are possible"
"I need to get to work, so hurry up"
"Let me wear my clothes atleast"
"How about you come out without them?"
"You wish"
"That I always do"
"Go to hell"
Arnav headed towards the breakfast when he felt Khushi's hand on his,
"What?"
"Cam is down there, behave yourself"
"I will as long as he stays in his limit wife"
"Husband, I dont want a scene infront of the family"
"Then I'll wait till after the family is gone"
"Lets just go"
"After you wife"
"We will go together"
"As you wish"
Cam saw Khushi walk with Arnav towards him, he stood up and walked up to Arnav and put out his hand,
"Hey, I'm Cam"
Arnav took his hand and gripped Cam's hand tightly, Cam winced, Arnav sure did hate him,
"Nice to meet you Cam, I'm Arnav, Khushi's husband" the emphasis on husband wasnt missed by anyone.
"I've heard a lot about you from Khushi"
"Even I have heard a lot about"
"Cam, you should sit down too, I made your faviroute pasta"
"You're the best sweetheart"
"Husband, you should sit down for breakfast as well"
"Wife, I just lost my appetite, I'll head for work"
"But.."
Before she could stop him, he was already out the door, Cam leaned in and whispered,
"What the heck have you told the guy, he hates me"
"Just have your breakfast"
His day was going from worst to horrible, first he had to meet Cam and second he had to meet Cam, and third his employees were useless, they couldnt do anything properly!
A knock on his door interuppted him, he looked up to find Khushi standing there,
"What are you doing here wife?"
"Did you eat?"
"I told you I lost my..."
"Yes, I heard what you said"
"Why are you here?"
"I got you food"
"Why your dear Cam couldnt finish it?"
"I didnt make this for him, it was for you"
"How nice of you, to take some of your time and actually think about me"
"Cut the crap, and just eat it"
"Where's the food?'
She placed a box on the table,
"Here you go, eat"
After Arnav had finished eating, Khushi got up to leave,
"Husband, bring the box back on your way home"
"Wife, you're going home anyways, take it with you"
"Oh, I'm not going home"
"Then where are you going?"
"Shopping with Cam, he needs a few things"
"WHAT?"
"Yes"
"Wife, what is the need to go with him?"
"Husband, he needs advice, so I'm going to help him out"
"First help yourself out"
"Husband, dont be jealous, Cam may be an amazing kisser, but unfortunately I'm married to you"
"Well, you may be my wife but fortunately I dont get to kiss you much"
"Are you suggesting I am a bad kisser?"
"Are you suggesting Cam is better then me?"
"Lets find out"
"How?"
"By kissing ofcourse, you can be so slow at times Husband"
"Well, I am not slow wife, you're ideas are just not meant for normal people"
"Do you want to find out or not?"
Arnav walked towards her and put his arms around her waist, and pulled her closer,
"Oh, I'm up for it" and covered her lips with his own, Khushi wound her fingers in his hair and pulled him closer, Khushi pulled back,
"Hope you got your answer husband'
"I always knew I was better then Cam, it was you who needed it"
"Oh, I found out whatever I needed to know, now you can go back to work"
Arnav stared at her, so all this had been a game?
Khushi smirked, "Husband, you need to be more careful"
"This isnt the end, wife"
"Dismissing people gives you such a nice feeling"
"You'll pay for this"
"Really? But right now you're the one paying, husband by now you should know, winning from your wife is just not possible"
"Expect the unexpected wife"
"Take that advice yourself first, by the end of this month, losing will be a permanent part of your daily life"
"And by the end of this month, winning will be permanently out of your daily life"
"And before I leave, tomorrow we are going out"
"Why?"
"To spend some quality time with Cam before we leave for our honeymoon"
"WHAT?"
"Goodbye husband, have a nice day at work"
"You think after knowing I have to spend 12 hours with Cam, I'll have a nice day?"
"Try to"
Arnav looked at the time, it was already 11, he better get home fast, Khushi would be waiting for him.
"Cam, tomorrow we are going to make Arnav admit that he cant see me with any other guy"
"Okay, sweetheart, but dont you already know that?"
"I want him to say it, tomorrow Arnav will take his first step towards being my ideal husband"
"Will he ever love you sweetheart?"
"I dont know"
"Then why these games?"
"I waited 5 years from him and if this doesnt work out Cam, I will have no regrets while leaving him"
"Why did you wait?"
"Because he was my husband, I trusted him so much, when it broke, it hurt"
"He did come back for you"
"Not because he accepted me, for him I'm a burden"
"If he doesnt love you by the end of this month, then?"
"Khushi Gupta will never become Khushi Raizada"
"What if you fall in love with him?"
"Love and being loved dont walk hand in hand Cam, I can love all I want but if I am not loved back I cant stay with him"
"I'll be there for you sweetheart"
Arnav entered the living room to find Cam and Khushi sitting together and laughing,
he walked towards them, Cam looked up at him and smiled but Arnav kept scowling,
"Isnt it late?"
"I was just going to sleep"
"Goodnight Arnav, Goodnight sweetheart"
"Having a goodnight after seeing your face is not possible"
"Shutup husband"
"Goodnight Cam"
"What were you two doing?"
"Talking, if you didnt notice, we were talking, normal people like to do that"
"Normal people also talk at normal times, not in the dead of the night"
"Well, then normal people's husband's should come at a normal time, so their normal wife can have a normal conversation with them instead of abnormal people"
"You've made a point with the normalcy of what I saw"
"I'll go heat the food"
Arnav held her hand and pulled her closer,
"You're mine wife, normal or not, I am going to be the only husband you're going to get"
"Then you better work harder in becoming my ideal..."
Arnav cut her off by covering her lips with his, Khushi put her arms around his neck and pulled him closer, Arnav pulled away and smiled,
"Wife, ideal or not, I am the only husband you're getting"
"We'll see about that when the time comes, I'll go heat the food"
"Wife, you've become so busy lately, you've forgotten our lessons"
"Let us go on our honeymoon husband, you'll get all the lessons you need"
"Well, then I look forward to my honeymoon"
"Where are we going?"
"I thought you had it all planned?"
"Good, you've already learnt a few things of being my ideal husband"
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise"
"And I so love your surprises dont I?"
"You never experienced one"
"I dont think I want to"
"You'll love it"
"I doubt it"
"Can we sleep now?"
"Can I have my goodnight kiss now?"
"Become my ideal husband now?"
"Never"
"Then you arent getting any kiss"
"And before I ask, you didnt get the blanket did you?"
"I thought you didnt want it?"
"I do"
"But for today we have to adjust"
Arnav got into bed and covered himself with the blanket,
"Arent you coming?"
"Did you ask me to snuggle in?"
"Oh, now I have to ask?"
"Ofcourse husband"
He lifted the blanket, "Snuggle in"
"My pleasure"
Khushi put her head on his chest and sighed contendly, Arnav put his arm around her waist and held her,
"Husband, you have very less time left"
"For?"
"For being the person I want"
"Wife, you need to accept reality"
"Thats what I'm trying to make you do"
Arnav kissed the top of her head and said:'Goodnight wife"
"Goodnight husband"
Devi Maiyya smiled, these two were just so adorable, "Arnav, I hope you're ready for whats in store for you tomorrow, I do believe you have met Khushi's very loving family?"
