In just a split of a second, many motions had taken place. To them, it seemed to go by in slow motion though as they savored the moment. Their girls in front of them in the position they were in. This just started the beginning of an endless night.

Chapter 4

Kriya looked into Rey's eyes as he reflected feelings. Same went for Sharon and Swayam. They had raised their 'weapons' thinking they were thieves. How wrong they were to think that! The moment swept them away though.

Rey held Kriya's hand behind her and pulled her a bit close and blew air on her face. The tiny hair stand from her bangs flew around in result. She closed her eyes to feel him blowing on her skin. The moment triggered many emotions inside of her. Her heart beat faster than before. She was afraid he would be able to hear it! Suddenly feeling too close to him, she looked down at the ground.

He let go of her hand softly, realizing that for now, he had to stop before he made her any more uncomfortable and lost the chance that he was getting. She took a step back and looked around awkwardly, not knowing what to expect next.

On the other side, Sharon and Swayam shared a close moment as well. For them, it wasn't awkward. They were every bit happy to be close together. Why wouldn't they be? They had no problems after all. Swayam was whispering sweet nothings into her ear, making her giggle softly to herself.

She pleaded, "Swayam let me go please. Leave my hand'" He wasn't in mood of letting go though. He tugged at her hand that was behind her back and smirked.

"I didn't hold it to let it go." He replied.

"Please?" she pleaded, adding a sweet tone to her voice to melt him down. It wasn't working at the moment.

"What do I get in return?" he asked, taking a glance at her lips. She understood where his naughty mind was going at. She took her free hand and kept it on her chest. Then she started seducing him by making her fingers run up to his collar of the shirt.

He stood there wide-eyed. He hadn't thought it would be this easy! His mind told him to be careful and be ready for a betrayal. But the excitement of his heart was much bigger. It refused to let his mind overpower his heart. He let go of reality and enjoyed the moment.

As his mind had expected, she pushed him away, freeing herself. By then, Kriya and Rey had taken a step back as well. Both the girls looked at each other. Kriya decided to ask the question.

"How did you both get in?"

Swayam and Rey looked at each other, not sure of whether to tell the girls about the key or not. Swayam replied, "Actually, we thought of surprising you both but instead, you both surprised us by 'this'."

This referred to the weapons in their hands. Both girls dipped her head down in embarrassment and face fully flushed! Kriya and Sharon started speaking at the same time and the boys didn't understand anything. They said together, "Stop!" when they did, Rey continued, "One of you speak."

Kriya continued after looking at Sharon, "Actually, we heard noises and thought some thief broke in. So'"

The mouth formations of both boys were a big 'O'. They thought they were thieves?! How'?! Swayam spoke up, "You guys thought' us'thieves'how could you'?"

"We're sorry. But it's your fault! You should have rung the bell or something. What was the need of walking in like this?" Sharon counter-replied, blaming it all back on the boys. Both, Sharon and Swayam continued to argue, blaming the thing on the other. Soon, they were fighting without a reason.

Sharon said, "How dare you call me a wild cat?! You thief!"

"What? Me? Thief? How dare you call me that?!" Swayam replied.

"How dare I? Oh, you're really asking me that Swayam Shekhavat?"

"Yes, Sharon Rai Prakash, What if I am?"

And so the justification led to an argument which was about to turn into a battle if someone didn't interrupt. All the while, Rey and Kriya stood next to each other, watching from Sharon to Swayam and back and forth as they gave the replies to each other. Eventually, they decided it was time to stop the fight.

Both stepped in between. Sharon pulled Kriya away while Rey pulled Swayam away.

"That's it. Enough now." Kriya said.

While Rey said, "Do you even remember why you were fighting?"

Sharon and Swayam looked at each other, completely feeling foolish. They didn't even remember why they were arguing! It was forgotten and everyone burst out laughing at themselves.

Kriya then asked, "Where's Neha and Vicky? They were coming too, right?"

Sharon replied, "They were'Swayam?"

Swayam nodded and took out his phone to call Vicky. Meanwhile, Sharon and Kriya headed back upstairs to clean the room that was a mess due to them getting ready.

When they came back down, Swayam said, "They aren't coming. Neha had some problem getting out of the house and Vicky decided not to come without her."

The girls were disappointed but not that much. "Oh, it's fine then. Wish they could have made it." Sharon replied.

Kriya looked at the clock. It was almost 8:00. She hadn't had proper lunch so yes, she was starving. But she didn't know if she should ask if they can have dinner first or not. As it was, it was only going to be the four of them.

Rey happened to look at Kriya just then. He realized the problem, so being the guest, he said, "Guys, can we eat first? I'm starving." He lied. He had had a huge lunch and could have lasted an hour or so more without dinner.

Sharon said, "Yeah, sure. Why not? Kriya?"

"I'll help you serve." she replied.

Swayam made them pause as they turned to leave. "Come on guys. No need to be so formal! It's not like we never had dinner before together! We can serve ourselves."

That was true too. The girls nodded and all four of them proceeded towards the dining table.

All four of them were serving themselves and eating whatever they wanted. Swayam decided to carry out a conversation and get rid of the awkwardness.

"I'm sure; Sharon can never make food like this."

"Like this? What do you mean?" Sharon asked offended.

"No, don't get me wrong. I mean, you always make pasta' And we all know how it ends up with you trying to cook anything else."

They all exchanged a look and burst out laughing. All of them were aware of the outcome. Each one of them had seen it at least more than once in lifetime.

"But honestly Kriya, the food is just fabulous! I don't know about others, but I've definitely missed this." Swayam replied look at the food in his plate.

Kriya gave him a smile for the kind words. Sharon added, "Hey, don't just say it from your behalf. We all missed it too. Right Rey?"

Upon hearing his name, Rey choked a bit on the vegetables and started coughing. All three of them became stiff, smiles wiped off their faces. It was Kriya who acted first. She grabbed the glass of water and handed it to him. While he took a sip from it, she started patting his back without realizing what she was doing.

Rey, at once, looked at her. A second later, she realized one of her hand was patting his back while other rested on his shoulder. She stopped, looked down shying, and hesitantly, sat back down. She had once again let her emotions show without meaning too. Sometimes, she cursed her over-protective side who always gave her away.

On the other hand, Swayam and Sharon looked at each other amused and then looked back at the couple. They were definitely getting the thrill out of all this, seeing their best friends come close slowly. They knew for sure, the distances between them will slowly reduce till extinct.

Swayam gave a fake cough to break Rey and Kriya's eye lock. Rey put the glass down and gave Swayam a glare. Swayam looked down instantly and started eating as if to act that he hadn't seen the glare. The little interaction of their' wasn't brought up by either Swayam or Sharon and both Rey and Kriya were glad for that.

Minutes later, Kriya forwarded for the rice bowl and at the same time, Rey did as well. Kriya's hand touched the bowl. Rey's hands lay on top of her's. At the touch, shock passed through both of them. She looked away instantly but didn't move her hand. Rey, on the other hand, looked upon her and savored the moment.

She dared to look up at him, into his deep eyes. She knew she would get lost in them if she looked and that's what happened. She lost track of time and the way she looked at him, tempted him to forget everything as well. He had longed for years to keep on looking in her eyes and just forget everything. All the misunderstandings, all the ill memories, the fights, the pain of their separation, everything; he just wanted to forget everything' If only it was that easy.

Kriya forced herself to look away when reality struck her in one of the flashbacks. She was having all the sweet flashbacks of the times when they touched, when they danced together. During one of those memories, the fight flashed in front of her eyes and she pulled her hand back from the bowl. He looked at her stunned.

She closed her eyes in desperation. She hadn't meant for the pulling hand back movement to look or seem that harsh. It was unintentional and it had just happened. The time when he had refused to believe her had come on front of her eyes and as a result, she had pulled the hand back harshly.

"I- I'm sorry." She said without raising her eyes, hoping that he would understand the words and the reason she said it for.

He stayed mum, somewhere accepting that she hadn't meant that to be that harsh. It was a second later that it struck them. Neither Sharon nor Swayam had interrupted. They looked to their sides to find the seats empty. They looked around to find them in the kitchen doing the dishes.

It was also then that they realized they really had forgotten time. Sharon and Swayam had finished their dinner and were also enjoying themselves while cleaning the plates. Swayam noticed that the eye lock had broken and he nudged Sharon to look back. She did and said out loud.

"Finish eating fast before we're done here. Or else the rest of the cleaning will be on you both."

Saying that, she quickly started cleaning, confusing Swayam. She whispered to him, "Understand dear, boyfriend. This will give them some more time together."

Swayam made an understanding 'OH' face and gave her an impressed look and he started washing the plates faster too.
