gemstar, kalapi: i do not support any kind of assaulting. So, if Purvi slaps Ovi in return, I will not support her also. slapping is not the solution. What I love in Archana is her patience level. I guess, either she or Sulocahana never taught Purvi how to insult elder person or others.So hitting back is not the solution , it increases the heat of the moment. If ovi really wants to encounter Purvi, she might ask her personally. If Archu believes in hitting people, many slaps should be received by Sachhu only.

In case of Arjun being slapped by Purvi, what I remember, it was just happened (what I have perceived from the scene) and it was not in the open place. Still I personally do not believe in slapping.

Anyway, really I hold a very poor memory in compare with you Kalapi and besides I am not a very wise audience of PR like you Kalapi.

I have tried my best to clear you guys.

Crazy, neither do I support any form of violence and I did mention as such in one of my other post (and the fact is from my reading of some post in recent time, audience have started accepting slapping as a normal part of "indian' life/culture ... these hindi serials have made a mockery of the culture that I am proud to belong)...also just to clear any misunderstanding I have nothing against you either. In fact I like your post saying that you are yourself against slapping...

Anyway, my post was made simply because this 'Slapping' thing (and the episode is still to be aired), is taken too far...and every day quite a very post comes up on this topic and how Ovi should/ could be reprimanded or a fitting reply of her act. But we forget that all characters (including Sulo, Porvi, Archu) has slapped in past episodes...so my question is when we 'questions and jump to conclusions about Ovi's Sanskaar, why are we not questioning the other's Sanskaar as well? What is the prejudice that prevents us from being neutral???? A very genuine question I do have here??? The show is fiction after all and all actress/actors are just playing their part with the utter finesse...so why can't the audience criticize/measure all characters with the same yardstick???

Ovi is an ill mannered girl no doubt. But i don't think she is ill-dressed. She may be over-dressed for the occasion and the chawl culture she live in but I dont see any issues with her dressing sense.

India is not Afghanistan my friend. You should look up the ancient culture where women barely draped themselves in sheets in Ashoka's era or prior to that. You don't have to be draped in a Sari or Suit to be properly dressed.

Ovi deserves a slap because she should have slapped Arjun not Purvi

Though I do not condone physical violence, Purvi should slap Ovi and move on.

I don't agree with any of the options...some people are suggesting for Purvi to slap Arjun or dump him...i completely disagree. Why is Purvi forgiven so easily and actually we all feel sorry for her if she decides to sacrifice for either her mom or her sister whom she has no relationship with cause they hardly know each other. Now if Arjun chooses to make a sacrifice for his father or best friend, and this sacrifice is temporary, why can we not give him the benefit of the doubt...I for one still believe in Arjun/Purvi love...I am not jumping off the bandwagon so fast. I am still hoping to see Arvi magic in the future and if there is no Arvi then this show is not for me.

Kalapi, Debu, agree with both of you, slapping has become too common in desi soaps, I think it is done more for effect than anything else. 😆 That said, I think Ovi was wrong in slapping Purvi, she needs to take Arjun to task first and foremost but that is not going to happen.
Purvi will not slap Ovi but she definitely needs to tell Ovi off for getting physically violent with her. Explaining is not going to help as Ovi is in no mood to listen. Purvi will get married to Arjun so that will be retribution enough for Ovi for slapping Purvi, for the sanskari nonsense talk about her mother and for thinking that Purvi deliberately set out to steal her fiance. Not that any of those three things make her deserve the jilting but unfortunately for her, her fiance doesn't love her.

I don't think Ovi dresses badly, maybe not suitably enough for chawl living but she is a super model from Canada and probably doesn't care or know what the chawlwallas think. The sanskari talk did not match her character but the CVs probably just threw that in for effect as well.

1) Purvi should not slap either Ovi or Arjun coz thappar ka badla thappar nahi hota ( slap in retun of slap is no for me). Here I rather believe on Archu's sanskar (culture). Ovi has slapped Purvi, so everybody is questioning her & blaming that she is taken care by Savita. If Purvi does the same, then there will be no difference between the two ladies. We respect & love Archu a lot. (now a days we do not support her - that's different issue)

2) I personally do believe that Purvi should leave Arjun forever and if possible should try to fix marriage with Ovi. This will be the best revenge taken by her coz Arjun will never love Ovi (here I suppose he is in madly love with Purvi) and Ovi will always try to come closer with Arjun but can not.

3) Why Manav will scold her - I do not understand!!!!! better Manav should concentrate on his marriage life & to tackle the problem with Ovi Purvi & Arjun with his experience.
