Chapter 12

Pia kept running till she felt extremely tired and sat down besides a tree for comfort. She sat there sobbing and kept sobbing there till she heard a familiar serene voice. She looked up and saw her guiding figure from her dreams, standing in front of her once again with her back towards her. Pia got up and followed her crying out: Why, why did you made me come here? Is this the truth I was supposed to know? I was better off without knowing it.

The figure: One day you had to know it Pia. This is your reality. You could not have run away from it forever. I brought you here, so that you come to know about yourself and where you stand much before your enemies can take advantage of you.

Pia: but why me? Why am I a freak? Why am I against nature?

The figure: Who said that you are against nature Pia?

Pia: Because I am not a normal human!

The figure: So are only humans in favour of nature? If that is the case, then do you think all other animals, all other beautiful birds, and all plants, flowers should exit from Earth? Then how will these humans survive Pia?

Pia: I don't get you!

The figure: Pia if there is anything against the nature then it is these so called normal humans playing with the nature by killing innocent animals, cutting off trees, killing each other for money, making nuclear weapons etc. You are perfectly natural. You were born out of natural love of your parents and you inherit your powers from the original witch who again was created by God only. You are not against nature and neither are people around you. The sooner you accept this reality, the better it would be for you and the people who love you.

Saying that the figure vanished. Pia opened her eyes in a start and saw herself in the middle of the forest. Had she walked in her sleep following the figure of her dreams? Apparently Yes! She pondered upon her words. It was true that though she was not a normal human she has never intentionally harmed anyone and if she is strong-willed she was sure she would be able to channelize her powers for helping the mankind rather than harm them. Her sister also used her powers only to buy herself time to become a successful entrepreneur and with her money she has not just given herself and her family a happy and luxurious lifestyle but has also helped in the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.

Then there was Abhay who despite being a vampire loved her with the same insanity with which she herself loved him and she had never seen him harming anyone. Coming to think of it, she has been there for over two months, but she had not heard of a single murder or disappearing case in Dehradun or nearby. Then obviously Abhay and her family cannot be called murderers of innocent humans. They were just different, like she herself was. She was still not convinced about her being a part of nature, but still decided to move back to her home when she found herself facing a lion and lioness couple looking at her with hungry eyes. Pia turned back and started running fast, but the lions were faster and soon were about to attack on her, when Pia suddenly felt herself rising up in air and flying. She looked below and saw those hungry lions looking up at her in shock. For the first time, Pia felt awe by her powers. She could fly. She could fly and save herself from the most ferocious lions.

When she could no longer see the lions anywhere, she safely landed on the ground giggling and saw Abhay waiting for her leaning against a tree but with no expressions on his face. Pia immediately became somber as she was confused how to approach him. She was feeling guilty for running away like that. But before she could speak anything, it was Abhay who asked in a voice devoid of any emotion: So, enjoying your powers??

Pia began to speak hesitantly.. I.. I

Abhay: Ironic, isn't it? The girl who just said she has no right to exist just because of her powers; a few minutes back is now happily enjoying her powers!!

Pia: no, Abhay! Had I not used my power then those lions would have killed me!

Abhay: But you thought you were against nature and so you should have happily led those lions feed on you. After all they are perfectly in sync with nature and feed on other creations of nature like innocent lambs, deers and cows while you are against nature for having a few powers and I am against nature for feeding on the blood of these very lions and other wild animals!

Pia finally realized the meaning of Abhay's words. God had created each and every being for a purpose. He made wild beasts like lions and tigers to feed on innocent animals like deers and cows so that these small animals do not end up having such large population that they eat up the entire vegetation on Earth and leave it barren or a desert. But just as both lion and deer was an important part of the food chain, there was required someone above the lions also. And maybe the vampires were that creation. And maybe she was gifted with powers to rise above the normal humans and help those who have been neglected by their fellow humans. Every creature was created for a purpose. Nothing was against nature. She and Abhay were as much part of this nature as other humans, those ferocious lions and those innocent deer and lambs. She felt so bad for reacting without thinking that tears developed in her eyes and she said while crying: I am sorry Abhay. I just could not understand that time. I was so shocked!

Abhay could not see tears in his Pia's eyes and embraced in his arms trying to calm her: Don't cry Pia, please. I can understand that this sudden revelation of your own truth and mine truth must have come as a big shock to you. Calm down Pia. You are still the same Pia and I am still the same Abhay! And we both love each other just the way we used to earlier. We still will always be there for each other.

Pia felt overwhelmed listening to these words by Abhay and hugged him back saying "I Love You Abhay". Abhay gently kissed her forehead, wiped her tears and kissed both her eyelids and then slowly moved towards her lips and before she could see his gaze, he took her soft lips in his own and sealed them with his love. Pia was a little surprised but soon she gave into the temptation and kissed him back with passion. They stood there kissing each other till they needed breath. After that they headed back to Pia's home to meet an anxious Rose waiting for her daughter to come home.

Rose hugged Pia tightly and after a few minutes they all settled down in the living room. Haseena was feeling happy for her son, but Chand was perplexed about this. But it was Pia who broke the silence asking: Mom, I still don't know how it all started?

Rose: It all started in Greece ages back Pia. And all the super natural history is still hidden somewhere in Greece. If you want your answers, you must visit the ancient temples of Greece and try to find the hidden literature there. I am sure you will get all your answers there.

Pia looked at Abhay with apprehension written clearly on her face, but Abhay squeezed her hand assuring her that they will face everything together!

I'm so glad to see Pia accepting Abhay and herself finally...
