" No." She continued after a pause. " actually, I don't want one. I am Mrs.Jha "

" Oh. I am sorry Maam. I didn't know. Aap plz baitiye." the young lawyer walked Anjali to the chairs. " Can you wait for a few minutes? Sir is not here now. I will call him and tell.."

" Oh.. No thank you . " Anjali said ghastly. " so he went to meet some clients after coming here, I guess." she said casually.

" No . Maam. He hasn't came here today. Actually he is not coming here for a week."

" A week?" she gasped.

"ya. I remember he mentioned something personal." She said , watching Anjali.

" Okay. Personal. " She cleared her throat . " Are you sure he is not working on any case these days?"

"yes Maam. I am sure. In fact I am handling the small scale clients on my own. "

Anjali looked at the , cheerful young advocate. Be it a criminal lawyer, her face didn't look like one which is lying. "Okay. I will call him. And not to mention my visit. I am planning to give him a .um .a..uh..Surprise " She said deep in her thoughts and winked at the young woman.

" Okay Maam. Have a nice day " She wished her b4 getting herself bc with her not-so-thin law books.

Anjali dialed a number , but cut the call on the 2nd ring and walked to the car.

" Shantivan " She said to the driver when the phone rang. She picked it .

" Hello?"

" Ha.. RS. Why did you call?"

" Nothing. I was about to ask you to accompany me , then I remembered .. That ..You have important meeting in the office . So I cut the call. "

" Ya..RS. Right now am in the middle of a discussion."

" Court mein hei kya?" She craved for an Yes.

" No RS. In the office."

She swallowed hard and took a deep breath. " Okay. Don't waste time then. Bye." She cut the phone. " Stop the car." She ordered to the driver. " I will be in the temple and dnt tell anyone. I will call you when am coming back. You can go home." He nodded knowing that an argument would only mean wastage of time.She walked to the Moorthy and sat b4 her Bhagwaan.

It was noon when her phone rang again. " Anjali bittiya, where are you ? Why are you not home yet?"

" Naani. Am fine. I will be back in a few hours. I am visiting some old friends."

" which friends?" it wasn't ec to convince Nani.

" you dnt know Nani. I will tell you when I am back. "

"Come back soon. Am getting bored. Payal is also not here."

"Where is Payal?" She asked shocked. She didn't get a chance to talk to her yet.

" 4got it already? I told you na? as Akash is going on a business trip, Payal is visiting her parents. She wasn't der after the marriage. Isiliye."

So she is in Lexminagar." Okay. I have to go now ,Naaniji. Bye Nani." She cut the call.

" Ji. They are not here. They went to visit some old friends of Madumatiji." Happiji said.

" but the door is open." she pointed out.

" because Shashiji is inside. " he said without looking up from the engine he was repairing.

So bauji is here. Atleast I can wait for dem here. Am not going until I get some answers. She entered the house. Sasi was sitting in his wheel chair . He startled seeing her.

" Don't panic bauji. Its only me. Anjali. Arnav ki Di. " She touched his arm.

He was trying to say something. Anjali was frightened to c his state. But why is he panicking every time he sees me? Otherwise he is Okay. She noticed that he was trying to say something.

" Sh..Sh.. Shyaa..yaa.." his voice wasn't coming out.

" aap kuch kehna chahte hei? " She tried hard to understand doz words. " Shyaam?" she asked. " Ya. Am his wife."

Sasi shook his head frantically. He again produced some sounds.

" Sakai? " Anjali wondered. " kiski? Bauji. Aap kya kehta hai? I dnt understand" . She sat besides him. He was saying something." Mankethar?Dhokebhas?" her head ached. She drank some water and touched his arm saying. " aap aaram kijiye, I will wait outside. "

She walked out . She was thinking about the words. It didn't made any sense to her. She was feeling dizzy. I think I have to go now.otherwise Arnav will be worried. She called a cab and went back.

She avoided all questions of her whereabouts intelligently and lied in the safety of her room. She wanted time to think. She thought about those words by Sasi all the day. It meant to convey something. Whose engagement can it be? Payal's? no. there was nothing special. Khushi's? she hadn't 1. No..no. actually she had 1. the broken 1. Ya.What? Her Fianc was a fraud?Ya. Can be. They might have broke it because of that. It makes sense. But..but wot does that has to do with me? Why he told me that? He said Shyaam also. A knife went straight through her heart. She shut her eyes tight. No. it cant be. I must have misheard him. . Stop it Anjali. You know, he is not Mr. Clean. You already have sm evidences. He is a cheat actually. But a fraud? She didn't want to think of it. What she wanted now was some rest. She closed her eyes. But it took another 2 hour's turning and tossing and thinking for her to sleep.

A knock on the door made her wake up. Maami marched into the room as she opened it.

" Sorry to disturb bittiya, but where is Damadji?" she asked searching the room.

" he is ..in the office" she replied in a weak tone.

" officewa? Cants believe ! " Maami murmured.

"kyon Maami."

"kuch nahi. Hello hi bye bye.." she turned to go.

" Maami batavo.." Anjali stopped her.

" Kuch nahi bitiya. I saw some1 in the bank 2day.. Like our damads. Might be some kind of mistakes.. Hello hi bye bye. He is in office. Right?"

"Ya.." Anjali mumbled.

" Mistakwa honga.. Bye bye.." she disappeared from Anjali's view.

" ya.. It shud be a mistake" she said to herself.

Arnav was bc with his laptop when Khushi returned to the room. She sat on the bed, watching him work. He was so into it that he doesn't seemed to be aware of her presence. She stretched her legs and yawned. The day's work made her a little bored. It was different to be in the house without Anjali and Payal there. She thought about the chat she and Payal had.' May be I should discuss it with Arnavji'. She once again looked at him. He was still typing and his Bluetooth device was on, which means he will be receiving calls any moment. She cleared her throat . There was no response from him.

"Arnavji? " she called .

" M? " his eyes were still glued on to the screen.

" Arnavji!!" she called again.

" Mm? "

She glared at him. 'How dare you 'Mm' at me? ' She stood up and walked to him in an animated way holding her hands as if she is the Queen of England. He didn't care to mind her. She stood inches away from him and drew a line along his jaw using he index finger.

" Anavjiii" she imitated the sexy voice of the girl in the perfume ad.

" yes Khushi" he looked up at her. " Have I got something there?" and he wiped his face with a handkerchief.

Khushi stood there , her mouth wide opened. She could not believe that he rejected her that easily. She moved away from him and made a straight face.

" You will regret it soon " She muttered under her breath.

"Oh Really? " He looked up at her and smirked.

" Haan ji.. " She was interrupted by a knock on the door. She went to get the door .

"You should better answer that!" Arnav grinned at her and continued his work. He could c her opening the door. He expected it to be his Di. But even after a few minutes no sound came from there. He looked at Khushi. She was standing der dumb found , covering her mouth with her hands. She was still. Arnav found it odd . Why should Khushi be so still.

" Khushi, are you Okay? " he asked.

Khushi turned to look at him , her eyes widened and excitement was written all over her face. She looked to and fro the door to him.

" Khushi.." There was concern in his voice " What is it?"

She didn't replied.

" Okay. Stop the drama. " he stood up from his seat and walked to her. He glanced over her shoulders. " Oh.. No!!! " he turned on his heels. He shook his head , rolled his eyes and sighed deeply . " this is not happening " he muttered to himself. Just to make sure, he once again stole a glance at the door. His eyes scanned the figure, standing in the doorway in a SRK pose and smiling at his wife. he send his eyes to heaven, sighing.

"Nannav,Mere bhai'" He smiled innocently." Give me a hug.." He forced Arnav into a tight embrace.. Arnav looked at the wall helplessly. Next, he moved to Khushi. Arnav was in his shield, sending killer-looks at him...

"Khushiji.." He spread his arms in air. It automatically went back to its original position , when he spotted 2 burning eyes.

"Nannhejii'." Khushi was screaming and jumping up and down. " I cant believe. When did you return?"

" Just now , Khushiji. As soon as I met every1 else, I came to meet you. I was dying to meet you Khushiji." Still smiling, his eyes met Arnav's. " and you too, Nannav!" he added in an as-if-I-care tone.. He could already hear the growling sound.

" So, Khushiji, How are you ? Sab teek tho hai na?"

Khushi smiled at him saying, " Haan.. Sab teek hai. Nannheji. Aur aap?"

" You must be very tired , NK. Go and rest. " Arnav interrupted him.

" No, Nannav.. Am 5n.Perfect. Dekho.." He showed them a Popeye -pose . Khushi giggled seeing that. Arnav glared at her.

"Okay, NK. I have some important work . Lets have this "important " chat later." His voice was sarcastic and he turned to walk back.

" Teek hai,Nannav." He heard NK's unhappy voice. " I look 4ward to a chat with you. But no probz Nannav. You carry on with your work." Arnav smiled to himself. Who are you kidding NK. I know how to avoid you. " Let Nannav do the job, Lets go and have some fun ." NK's voice rang an alarm on Arnav's head. No!!. He spun on his feet. " C'mon Khushiji" . Nk took her arm and pulled her to the hall.

" Khushi.." Arnav heard his own voice . She turned and looked at him , stunned " What about the thing we were discussing?" He asked, looking into her eyes.

Khushi narrowed her eyes..Oh, no. He knows how to trick me. But not diz time Mr. Raizada! She swallowed hard. " Um.. I remember, You ..were bc on work. Why don't you complete it while I spend some time with Nannheji?" She looked at a confused NK and said" Chalo'Let's Go"

Arnav stood there fuming, and looking at dem walking away, happily. How dare she?he punched in the air and went back to work. He could not work . All he could do was listening to the giggles from downstairs and NK's voice. He slammed the files on the table and waited for her to Return. Why the hell she takes so much time?

Khushi dried her hair using the new hair dryer. Her hair moved like feathers around her. She raised her eyes and saw him standing on the poolside door, staring at her. His expression was unreadable.

" So , you were on the terrace? I looked the whole house for you. What were you doing there? " She asked.

He didn't moved for a minute. Then , walked to the bed , picked up his mobile and while checking messages, asked

" So.. Had fun ?" Without looking at her.

" Huh??" She looked at him , clueless. His eyes were searching her face questioningly. Oh.. So that's what all this is about : She thought. She walked to him slowly and stood inches away from him . She took away his phone from him and threw it on the cot. " Does something burn in here ?" She sniffed around him.

" WHAT??" he moved two steps backward. Then he sighed, closing his eyes " Oh.." . I am not jealous!! He made mental note.

" Now .. That is something we can relate. Ryt? " She sounded confident. Arnav looked at her wondering. " Okay.That was the punishment for neglecting me just to be with your Darling Laptop. " She said. " Next time you ignore me for HER, I will go with NK .Mind it." Oh.. No .Khushi.. You have made a mistake. How dare you challenged ASR?

He took 1 step to her . "Okay. The next time you go with him, I will call La back." He said, raising an eyebrow at her. "Mind it ".

" Whaat??" Her voice creaked. She stood there, disbelievingly looking at her husband..her Jealous husband.
