I've read a lot about is it Star plus fault, is it Giaa fault ..Giaa had a choice and Giaa did not have a choice...
At the end of the day for me it is quite clear that Starplus are flexing their muscles and are using underhand means to ensure that they take monopoly over TV viewership...
How can it be right that a TV channel can threaten their actors by replacing them should say choose to work with rival channels? Is this not an unfair use of power ?
Let us flip the coin for a minute and suggest the scenario was that Colours was the numero uno channel and is flying up on top and Starplus has lower viewership and a rival channel. In this scenario Saathiya is a Colours channel and giaa is the famed Gopi vahu and let's suggest that it is starplus who want to do Jhalak and want to approach giaa ... Colours flexes its muscles and their is a channel war ...
What do you think Starplus' view would be in this position ? D o you think they will not be crying out how unfair colours were being and how they were unfairly flexing their muscles?
I think it is absolutely disgusting how Starplus can dictate what shows their actors can and cannot participate in ?
Surely it is wrong for a single channel to be able to try and monopolize the TV viewership like that? Where is the fair competition if all channels take the tone that they can only work for one channel and no other channel?
Today Starplus is top and is flexing its muscle, tomorrow another channel might become number one and hence they will do exactly the same because everyone is out their to be number one. But surely there is a right way of staying on top?
If they can get away with this kind of treatment against any actor then surely they will continue to do it with the pretense of one actor gone but show must carrying on dialogue ...
Where does that leave actors? They are restricted to working on one show for one channel until that show comes to an end ... how sad
