I ain't bashing anyone. I'm just giving my opinion since it still hurts seeing a new Gopi, not trying to degrade Debolina woh bechari itni big role nibah rahi hai and it's a big thing taking such a big role and doing it her way. Gia will be missed. Some fans are upset which is normal. But bashing well, best thing is to ignore really. Shouldn't bother anyone at the end of the day it's a serial and it shouldn't worry one when another speaks bad about another person. More important things.

I have a question to ask. Please this is my humble request to every one, I want to understand this.

I have noticed that there have been many threads talking about how many members do not like the actress portraying the new Gopi. Some members used harsh words, some members were more polite.

Then I was a post from the moderator "Enought Bashing Devoleena"

With all due respects to the moderator - Yuks and the actress. I like to give my two cents worth. Moderators please feel free to close this topic if you feel its inappropriate.

1. Comparison is very natural.

We have been used to a certain actress for more than two years. Then one fine day we see another actress. Fine we should give the actress time to settle in. However the second actress should have some standard if not 100% she should atleast be 80% there. Sorry to say, in this case the new girls was not even 50% there.

The new actress was introduced at a day's notice. One night we see the usual gopi and the next day we see another girl, how can there be no comparison? If the new girl has taken up the challenge of playing an existing character then she better be good enough if not better. The onus is on her to get accepted and not on the audience to accept her.

Pls give the audience a break.

2. Constructive ciritisims.

We are the audience. We have the right to say if we like or dislike a certain actor. However it shoud be backed with logic. For example, I dislike Nazim because he is monotonous. He should work on his diction. If Nazim improves his diction he will be a perfect actor.

In the above example, will this be considered bashing or constructive critisism.

3. Many views

We are a forum, should we always say good things. In fact we should discuss everything good and bad. If the actors or creatives come on the forum, they shoud know what people think of their acting, their appearance, their attitude.

I would like to apologize if I have broken any forum rules. Pls do advise me and feel free to close this topic if deemed inappropriate.

The aim eventually is to discuss things critically and constructively without negative comments being tossed out and leading to fights.

A post that says that Devoleena is unable to get the right expressions on her face, or her body language isn't right, is fine. That is a constructive post about her.

But when someone starts a post saying that Devoleena is ugly, or fat, that is simply bashing the actor for no rhyme or reason.



And the reason we try and stay away from comparison posts is because it leads to members fighting.
A post saying Devoleena isn't as pretty as Giaa is simply making an unfair comparison between both actresses, they are both beautiful in their own right.
1)A post saying that Devoleena isnt as good an actor as Giaa is also unfair. Giaa is a seasoned actress and has been the main lead for 2 years, meanwhile Devoleena is a newcomer and has only had a minor role in a show previously. And eventually they are two different people, their styles will always be different

There might be Devoleena fans out there who get hurt reading harsh comments about her, or might defend her, instigating Giaa fans.
Or Devoleena herself might be a member of the forums reading these comments about herself

These are public forums and everyone is welcome here. Everyone is also entitled to their opinion, but we stay away from comparisons so everyone's feelings are spared. No comparing shows, no comparing actors, and no comparing characters.
You must have seen a few months ago that SNS was being compared 2 differed Star Plus shows. Each of the shows had its loyal viewers and all the viewers were right on their side of the argument, but at the end of the day it was only an argument that led no where except creating bitterness between members and forums.

I hope you understand the reasoning

2)I have never said to not talk about Devoleena at all. I just asked for all the unnecessary bashing of the poor girl to stop. Yes, she has big shoes to fill and it is an uphill battle for her and there are bound to be criticisms, but as long as they are laid out constructively and not meanly

I am totally convinced that the producers are dying to end the show because that's the only reason why they would change the actor and annoy the viewers. This may have worked in some cases in past but Gia as Gopi was unique and Devolina just does not have the looks, expressions and personality of Gopi.

Unless they get Gia back, it's just a matter of time before Saathiya becomes Archive wasi
