Here's a shocking news. Giaa Maanek has been under the radar ever since she went on to sign a show on a rival channel. The Gopi bahu of Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya wanted to get out of her timid image and rock the stage in Colors' Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
The move led to a tussle between Colors and Star. Colors wanted Giaa in their show and Star flexed its muscles stating that if Giaa goes ahead and participates in Jhalak, then she has to bear the consequences. Recently, we even had exclusive info on CINTAA stopping Giaa from performing in Jhalak.
The news that we have just received is that the inevitable has happened and Giaa has been shown the door from Saath Nibhana. The makers (Rashmi Sharma Telefilms) have stopped shooting with her and her character Gopi will be portrayed by some other face.
We have received a press release from Star Plus which read:
"Starting tomorrow, June 7th, one of STAR Plus' longest running shows, 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' will see a new face essaying the role of 'Gopi Bahu', the lead protagonists of the show; which has been played by Giaa Manek since its launch. The association with Giaa Manek has however been discontinued with immediate effect, due to unprofessional conduct and breach of contract from the actor's side."
