" what are you doing here? " her voice was rough. Shyaam was peeping into the poolside,. He trembled and looked at her.
" Voh.,. Hum "
" you are supposed to be in the office,. " she came to the poolside door and scanned that place closely. " I thought you went for office an hour ago. " she looked at him suspiciously,.
"ya,.,. I was.. " he was forming a believable lie in mind,.
" then why are you here ? " she walked to him and stood in front of him,.
" Arrey.. Raanisaheba, hum.. Ek file .." She didn't let him finish.
" Wait.. Let me guess.. You 4got some important files and came back .Ryt ? "
" Wah.. Yeh tho kamal hai " He smiled a crooked smile.
" and.. " she stood inches away from him and touched his arm in a casual way. " and you are searching that ??? " She asked .
"Ya.."
"Okay..Temme 1 thing. How came it that all ur files are in Chottey's room?"
"kya?" He was shocked to c a questioning RS.
" Haa.. Every time I come here you are searching this file or that file,. Whenever I come here you are here,. "
" nahi,.,. Nahi RS,.,. aisa kluch nahi hai "
" then What is it ?" she raised an eyebrow " batavo ? "
" I have to discuss an important deal with Salesaab,.,. So meine socha I will come and talk to him,. When I came here, he was having a bath,. So I thought I should wait ,. That's all ,.,." he tried to convince her,.
" aapko sharam nahi aati ? "
" kyaa? " he was shocked,.
" haa,.,. This is the room of a newly wed couple for God's sake. Don't you have any sense at all? Let them have some privacy "
"arrey bhai,.,.look who is talking? Then ,aap yahan kya kar raha hoon RS ? " he asked grinning,.
Oops, he got her there,. She looked up at him for a minute,. Then she caught his arm and dragged him in a playful manner out of the room,.
"RS ,.,. Aap yeh kya kar raha hai? " he asked staring at her,.
"aap mere saath aavo,.,.mein batavoon "
" teek hai,. Teek hai,.,. Stop dragging me,.,. Am coming,. "
"acha,.,." she walked him to the drawing room,. " aap baito " she said,.
"yahan?" he asked looking at the sofa,.
"haan,. " she forced him into the cot,. " now listen to me carefully,. Aaj ke baat whenever you want to meet Chottey,. You will wait here for him to come down,. I don't want to c you in their room once again,. Is that clear ,.,.,. Shyam JI ? " she asked,.
He nodded blankly ,. RS ko ye kya hua? Why is she behaving in a strange way? He glared at her,. She was going to her room,. Her face was calm and her actions were cool,,. He couldn't believe that she said ,actually commanded him,. He stood up,.
" RS ,. Ek minute,." he walked to her side " why are you behaving in an odd way ? You seem so different,. "
"ji ? " she asked as if she didn't understand,.
"ya,.,. In a weird manner "
"weird ? " she widened her eyes,. " aapko mein ajeeb lagta hai? " her lips curved downwards,.
" nahi,.,. Nahi RS mera matlab vo nahi tha,.,. I mean you are so nice usually,. But 2day you are ,.,. "
" so am not nice to you anymore ? " she was all set to irritate him,.
" oh meri Maa,.,. Mein kuch nahi bataya,. It is all my fault,. Mein jaa raha hoon,. " he walked away,.
" office mein ? " she asked with a smile,.
"ha,." he replied without turning around,.
" tho,.,. Chottey ke saath meeting? " today Anjali had her store full of baits,.
"kiss ka meeting? " he asked angrily,. She just looked into his eyes,sad nothing in reply.
" oh,.,. Vo walaa,.," he sighed,. " I will c him in the evening,. " and he closed the main door behind him,.
Anjali stood looking @ the door. Her smile vanished,. " aapko kya lagta hai Shyaam ji ? That I cant talk nonsense ? " she sat on the cot,. " So as far as I know, something is wrong, . Chottey or Khushiji wont tell me,.I think Payal knows it all,. I have to find it,." she stood up and called " Payal!!! "

" jiji !! What a beautiful morning it is,. Don't you think so ? " Khushi picked up a shirt from the bucket. " subhe subhe you washed it all? "
Payal took it from Khushi's hand saying " haa,.Vo kya hai na ,Akash is going on trip,aur yeh Akash ji ka favorite shirts hei na ? isiliye,.,." she smiled and continued her laundry work ,.
Khushi imitated Payal's shyness and said " Ji jiji,.,. "
Payal warned "Khushiii,.,. Stop it",. Khushi hugged her from back and said " after so many days I am having fun with my Jiji,.,. Acha lagti hai "
" arre wah Khushi,.,. Aaj thum badi Khush dikhti ho,. Kya bath hai ? "
" kuch nahi hai jiji,.,. Baz everything is going fine,."
Payal touched her little sister's face " am so happy for you Khushi ,. "
" me too so happy for you jiji " they hugged each other again,. A tear escaped Payal's eye and she wiped it off smiling ,.
" yeh sab chodo Khushi ,. Ye batavo,. Shyamji is not disturbing you nowadays,. Is he ? " she made Khushi face her,.

" Payal,.,." Anjali called her again,. " Ek minute JP ,.,. Aap kaheen Payalji ko dekha ? "
"Di,. voh shayad terrace mein honga,. I saw her walking there,." he replied replacing that day's newspaper in the stand,.
" teek hai JP " she climbed the steps to the terrace,. She looked down the road as she walked through the terrace,. Suddenly she stopped in her way and glared at something carefully. " where is he going ? His office is to the right,. Why is he going in the other way?" she turned to go after him,. Suddenly a voice stopped her,.
" batavo na Khushi ? Does he disturb you ? "
Anjali could ecily recognize that voice, it was Payal talking to Khushi,. But who ? Who disturbs Khushi? Anjali wanted to know ,. Her eyes were fixed on the figure on the road and her ears were on Payal's voice,. She wanted to make a choice between the two,. She stood there and Shyam disappeared to the next turn from her view. She stood there waiting for Khushi's reply.
" Jiji.. Don't worry about me. Am 5n. I have nothing to fear about when Arnavji is with me." Khushi assured her sister.
" Matlab , he knows about .. Shyaa.."
"haa..jiji." She said hastily. " Jiji, yeh sab chodo.. And we cant talk about it here. What if some1 hear us?"
" Ya.. Di will be hurt. Okay.. But Khushi, you are going to tell me everything when we are alone. " Payal demanded.
" Of Course.. Payalia.. Chalo.. Lets Go Down .. Arnavji must be out of shower by now." Khushi walked to the poolside stairs.
"I will get breakfast ready. Thu jaa aur sabko bulavo.." Payal went past Anjali ,without noticing her.
Anjali stood der dumbstruck. Di will be hurt. It means something that I have to do with. But what? Of course it has something to do with Shyaam,. But why didn't he go to the office? She was in her room the next minute. She picked up the phone and dialed his number .
" Aa.. RS..?"
" Ji..aap office mein hei?" she tried hard to keep her voice calm,.
" haa tho ? " he asked irritated.
" I have an appointment 2day with the Doctor, aap mere saath,.".
" oh I cant RS,. I have some important clients to deal with 2day,." he was getting angry,.
" you can drop me if you are going to meet some clients. " she was fishing for some clues .
" No no RS. I will be bc the whole day in my office,. So ,. "
" teek hai,. I will go with someone else. In that case.."
" RS, der is an important call coming,. So I should better hang up,. So c you in the evening " he hung up the call even b4 she could answer,.
" So you are in the office, aren't you ? " she said looking at the phone,.
" Where do you wants to go Bittiya? "
Anjali turned hearing Maami's voice,. She was standing right behind her,.
"huh? " she wasn't sure how much Maami heard,. " Nowhere Maamiji,. Um ,.,. Am not going anywhere,. "
Mami looked at her for a moment, then sighed " chalo teek hai ,. Yeh batavo , whens is ur next appointments with the doctor? "
Anjali was confused ,. What if Mami heard me ,. " Ji?? "
" haa,. Bittiya,. Your last appointment was two days b4 ,ryt? So when isj the next 1 ? I just wants too knows. "
" ji Maami,. Its on the first week of next month,. " she said hesitantly,.
" teek hai,." she smoothed the fleets on her pallu,. "Aren't you coming down? Its time for breakfast,. Chalo Chalo."
"ya" she walked with Mami and thanked God that Mami didn't suspect her,.

Khushi reached her room just b4 Arnav came out of the bathroom,. She picked up his dress from the cupboard . He came out and watched her getting his dress ready .
" what do you think you are doing ? " Oh ! Sh*t .he thought. He didn't want to sound rude. But it is just that cool words just do not escape his mouth.
Khushi turned to face him . " What do you think am doing?"
Ok . Arnav. Your KKG is back . He smiled to himself. " I don't need those "
" Why? You are going like this ? " She asked looking at him, standing wrapped up only in a towel.
He looked at himself. " I would have . If you were the only employee I had in my office! " He answered , staring at her .
Her mouth opened and she looked away from him saying " Besharam "
" Pardon me ?" He asked , taking a step to her.
" Nothing. " She said turning away. He touched her back and turned her face to him .
" I heard what you said , I said pardon me because I yelled at you in the morning.. I shouldn't have. Is mein thumhare kya galti thi.Pardon me.." He said looking into her eyes.
" hmm. You dnt have to say sorry for that. I know you were worried about Di. Its Okay. Waise bhi. This is not the first time. You scream at me on a daily basis. Nothing novel to me." She smiled at him sarcastically and moved away. He watched her tidying the room and sighed. He opened the cupboard and pulled a T-shirt from it.
" Why? Why dnt you wear the 1 I chose?" She asked , raising her eyebrows .
" because am not going to office 2day." He said replacing the 3-piece in the cupboard.
" You are not going to office? " She asked.
He put on his jeans and T-shirt."Nope"
Khushi ran outside and looked up in the skies.
" What ? What happened?" he asked alarmingly.
" it will rain." she said coming back to the room.
"Why?" He didn't understand a word.
" Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada not going to office? It means something miraculous. Aap Dekho, am sure, it will rain 2day." She teased him in a dramatic voice.
" Stop it, Khushi." he said . " am not going because Aman is in charge 2day."
" that means You are going to work from home! " she concluded.
" Ab-so-lu-te-ly! " He stressed each syllable. He pretended to be irritated. " Can we go down and have some breakfast Now?"
" Bil-kul" she imitated him and ran for her life.
He smiled after her and said to himself "Pagal!!!"
