Two psychiatrists of Delhi were sitting in the chamber and discussing the current state of mental health of the World.. Yes, you heard me correctly THE WORLD..

One of them, Dr Singhal was a pioneer in her field and had been working on this issue for almost 8 months now.. She was on so many international committees for the same issue, that she was left with no time to do anything else. She was so swamped with the case load that they had agreed to bring Dr Gupta on board with the cases to help her out. She needed to give Dr Gupta an update about the cases.

Dr S: Hello Dr Gupta, how are you doing today?

Dr G: I'm fine Dr Singhal. How are you? You look a little flustered.

Dr S: What can I tell you Dr G? I hope you will understand once you look at the list of the cases I have. So in this hospital, there are a total of 1000 patients. Out of whom 800 have been admitted steadily over the past 8 months with a common problem at the root.

Dr G: 800 patients with a similar problem? How is that possible?

Dr S: You misunderstand me. They have different conditions, but the reason for the different conditions is the same. And these 800 are only in this hospital. There are 1000's of patients in each major and minor city of the world.

Dr G: Dr S, how is that possible? Did some major tragedy hit the world that I'm not aware of? Was there any major international disaster that I did not hear of?

Dr S: You can say that. Have you heard of the television drama ISS PYAAR KO KYA NAAM DOON on Star Plus?

Dr G: Why are we discussing this Dr S? Don't you have cases to hand over?

Dr S: Please bear with me. IPKKND is the common problem these patients have in common. It all started on 6^th June 2011at 8 PM when Khushi, a small town girl from Lucknow accidently fell into Arnav Singh Raizada's arms, a business tycoon from Delhi. They hated each other from the moment they met. But there was something that was constantly pulling them towards each other.

Dr G: Dr S? Dr S? Are u alright? U went all glassy eyed while talking about it? So this Khushi And ASR, Pardon me please, but Arnav Singh Raizada was quite a mouthful name.. are these the most serious patients in this facility?

Dr S: No, no, no.. These 2 are the lead characters in the serial IPKKND.

DR G: What? Ok. Now can we discuss about the cases?

Dr S: first u have to understand that since the day IPKKND has been aired, the fan base is increasingly steadily.. Not only in India but world over.. this serial has affected them so much that it is all they think about and know.. They have joined IF where they can chat about it the whole day.. Their parents and spouses are getting worried about their condition..

Dr G: What the...???

Dr S: Have u watched it??? Its the famous 2 words out of ASR's mouth..

Dr G: No Dr S. Please tell me more about the patients..

Dr S:Sure...So basically we have 2 different categories of patients..

1. 1. The ones who believe that they are the characters from the serial.

2. 2.The ones who are obsessed with the serial and are unable to do anything productive with their time and lives.

Dr G is taking the notes. And wondering if Dr S has gone nuts? People were mentally ill because of a serial. She didn't dare say anything to the most intelligent person in the field..

Dr S continued talking: to treat the first type of patients, u need to be aware of the main characters.

I have already told u about the lead characters, Khushi and Arnav Singh Raizada. Khushi's full name is Khushi Kumari Gupta, though these days she is going around by the name of Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada.

Let me list them for u.. So we have the Gupta's and the Raizada's.

The Gupta's

Shashi and Garima Gupta. (Khushi's adoptive parents) they are the least troublesome people. Not many have gone crazy because of them.

Payal Gupta: Khushi's elder sister. Daughter of Shashi and Garima Gupta. Her baraat had returned cos of dowry issues. She has affected young women who have had a broken relationship, which for my comfort are too many.

Madhumati: Shashi's sister and the girls' bua ji. She has a habit of starting every sentence with Hai re Nand Kishore. So don't be surprised if u wind woman calling u NandKishore. U'll get used to it.

Khushi Kumari Gupta: there is so much to tell about her. She is the main root of the problem. She talks too much to begin with.. She is bubbly, well most of the times. She cries at everything, especially at what ASR says. She has stupid ideas, which she likes to put into motion. She has a brain, but it is usually on vacation.. She jumps a lot. She does things without thinking.. The list is endless and so are the patients.. It will be better if u find more about her from the patients.

The Raizada's:

Devyani Raizada: Famously referred to as Nani.. She is righteous, pious, and strict and wants kids to work according to her. Many elderly women have taken up her role.

Manorama Raizada: She is well known for her Famous Hello Hi, Bye bye.. u ll find a group of patients dressed to nine's and saying hello hi bye bye in every sentence.. Aap unki Inglish se confusaayiega nahi..

Manohar Raizada: He is a harmless person.. don't worry about him..
