These type of characters in the daily soaps really play a vital role.
They add some good masala in the soap. Without them the story would be boring to watch...
Sabzi w/o salt (no taste), tea w/o milk (no color) 😃
they are not villain..rather they are Anti Hero or Person in Negative role.😉

But at the end of the show, they need to realize their mistakes and should help the main protagonist to live happily ever after😊

"Story mover" may be an overstatement, but negative characters usually provide a fillip to the plot, and she's no exception. punni is a worthy new addition to the show's 'gallery of rogues' comprising the old manjusha, dharmesh, jaywant, the old ajit and the evergreen savita. she has all the 'promising' qualities of a small-screen vamp-- she's greedy, selfish, cunning and cynical.

i won't be too suprised if she manages to trap DK into marrying her and ends up being arjun's glamorous new stepmom. i can just imagine manju fawning over her rich son-in-law (who's probably older than herself!).
