As expected - Mohan's image restoration postponed to Monday... ab ye 72 hours kab khatam honge... š
But otherwise, an episode with some interesting nuances. The usual showdown of course and A LOT of uncharacteristic of NBT camera zooming for repeat take of multiple expressions š but aside from all that, still...
Khair. EPIC scene of the episode - DN and Prateik sitting, cheering, and planning the downfall of Mohan Bhatnagar š¤£
Logon ko kitni galat femi ho jaati hai !!!
EPIC observation #2 - So DN is ONE without-fathom guy. He does dirty work like overlooking Nanhi the hostage and shooting Amar in the heart himself, but gets cronies to destroy FINALITY EVIDENCE CDs for him?!?!?! Yaar is cartoon ki priorities BADI hilli hui hain 𤣠Or he just likes to be the action guy and leave the boring stuff to staff 𤣠Honestly, I can't remember the last time I came across such a lame "bad guy" - it's like the cynic thinks there's too much abundance of ebhil guys on TV, so the ones he gets to write, end up being pathetic and comical than ebhil and scary š
Wese now that we HAVE seen the horrendous contents of the CD - I'm just ROFLing about the hype even Mohan made about it š Yaar ek plain and clean gun shot toh tha!!! Muje toh laga pata ni KYA KYA hua hogaa!!! No, I mean I understand him thinking ke the Vyases would be like MEGA hit by it - and I understand the "shock" reaction in general about THIS revelation beneath what was made to look like a whole different event - but Mohan's reaction to watching the CD first time toh muje abi AUR bi kam samjh aari hai š Maybe he was just pheeling for Amar - his newly discovered "secret-keeper" - photo mein hi sahi š
and pssst! Are you making a thread Nur?! I toh essayed off half the stuff yahin mein, teh! āŗļø
EPICness BEYOND measure - The precap. THAT SO LONG OVERDUE SLAPPP!!! š„³
Okay so the more serious take on things I found interesting. For one - a great episode to wrap up the showcasing of a big news! I did joke about the camera panning and all that - but honestly great editing and acting from everyone! Every reaction just fell SO in place!
I think what I LOVED about the first series of reactions from everywhere - when Amar is shown confronting DN with evidence and his corruption scam - the expressions from esp everyone of the Vyas family is just this kind of shine. Not the shine of glee - but in pride. There's a faith they've held onto and fought for against the entire world ALL this time. And technically all that while they had been JUST as much in the dark about the exact sequence of events - and technically further they truly had no real "evidence" to even believe themselves that Amar himself had been honest and brave. Except their faith. And somehow when this part of the CD plays out, their expressions shine in the manifestation of that belief. There are those dark moments in life when your strongest faith wants to shatter, but if you've held onto it no matter what - and through all odds and evens - it means THAT much more to finally find this tangible sense of attest that the belief earns! And those emotions from everyone - including Renu, who on days like these reminds us she is grey and selfish, but was never a plain black heart with ill intentions - the reactions are just heart warming! Want to point out Nanhi's reaction too. That little child - and what it means to her... just an 8 year old, to finally HEAR this statement condoning her father of such a horrible and wrong accusation! The one sour point over which she "fought physically" at school, broke bonds with her Spidey - and just about shows ALL uncharacteristic reactions, because that is the influence that injustice has had on her!
And talking of Nanhi - word to that bit you pointed out Nur - of Nanhi almost spilling the beans! I think we can safely bank on Nanhi EVEN in the shocked state of watching what she does (and should not have, again agree with you completely, what a lifelong indelible scar this will be!!!) but anyway, I think she will be instrumental in snapping the shocked Vyases out of their second wave of feeling the loss of their gem of a son - almost as if he had been taken away afresh - to remind them of a certain other guy who is STILL alive and kicking - and incidentally kicking ALOT if the precap is anything to go by š
And talking of "kicking" - Mohan Bhatnagar, dude, some steel you're made of aren't you?! Karan (for all your loony ways and beyond comprehension heroworshiping of Mohan) today your faith, even if not expressed as explicitly as Megha's yesterday, did feel good! I'm glad that he wasn't really convinced, to the end. Yes, he didn't stand up and fight for Mohan - ab sab to Megha ni hote š but he did express aloud - mujhe to ab bi vishwaas ni hota...
And talking of "unconvinced stances" - I found Megha's reaction for Mohan in the office quite interesting too. Not as one dimensional as the gossip clip had made it out to be I think - because Megha STILL seems in SOME odd kind of defensive against Mohan's betrayal! At some level she was treating him LITERALLY like she had once treated Nanhi early on because she was hanging out too much with Spidey even after the whole advert issue! The way she just cut her off affections and gave her a cold shoulder - AND made a point of her letting her know it! Megha was treating Mohan in that manner - except, not as a kid, and for a much more grave matter - so the impact played out that much more! Because the way she retorted back at him - about tumare jaise 2-4 aur milgaye... - was the sign of a woman SO desperate to HURT HIM BACK! The grudge she was holding up was SO tangible - and yet there was a strange kind of "right" beneath it! A right to HOLD that grudge! The kind that didn't surface when it was about Prateik - who she easily and dismissively forgave for SUCH unforgivable conduct! Or for DN - who literally SINGLE handedly brought their family to ruins! It's in accord with what she said to him yesterday - those are NOT the people she trusts! But he WAS! All the way up there next to Amar! And so her grudge and sense of right to exert it, to PIN him down with it, to NOT find it in her to indifferently forgive him - THAT in itself is a sign of how far from broken the bond is!!! Not that any of US thing its broken - but the way Megha wants' to believe it right now!
And Mohan's line to her before that - aww, Mohan! *pulls him into a hug he deserves from MANY other people btw!* I almost missed the cactus today and vaguely lamented its loss. I could almost imagine, when Mohan turned back in his step, that he would walk back to his desk and get that cactus before he left. Sigh - uske to khair ab tukde bi have been disposed off by Tikka Raam ji, per Megha's instructions...
Khair. Final point that stood out for me. Amar vs Mohan. I LOVED how the nuances overshadowed THAT today! The impeccability of BOTH to stand for a just cause, and yet in ways SO different! There was Amar, right there in front of us, in the CD clip, confronting the bad guy straight up with a candor and bravery that is admirable yet idealistic to a damaging extent! And there is Mohan. Whose bravery in a different sense runs EVEN deeper, not in standing up to the BAD guy to his face - but in standing up against ALL his own! For THEIR better and good! What a man, Mohan - and how genius is the characterization which gives EVEN this kind of brief "sacrifice" from him a smart and thoughtful intention, than one of being a lamb!!! š It reminded me of that famous line from the first Harry Potter - which Dumbledore says to Neville - It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but evenmore to stand up to your friends - THAT was Mohan through yesterday and today! Not in the way Neville had - but in his own EVEN more hard way! He bore the brunt of EVERYONE that matters' accusations for THEIR sake! Because he, unlike any of them, knew better than to react! And when I compared it with Amar in the CD - for all his uprightness and courage, I could only think, if he'd been a wiser man, he would have known a better way. The interesting part is, I don't think Amar confronted DN straight up just because he didn't KNOW a better way. But because I would expect a man like him to actually in some way CONSIDER giving DN one chance to take it all back, own up his mistake, condone himself! Righteous by the rule book level, yes, I would expect Amar to be that! So I don't really put Amar down for being a blind idealist like his father! I do think he was MUCH more aware and wise - but still bore the idealism in him through the veins, to an extent, that he didn't just get the man punished, but in a way offered him ONE last chance - which cost him his life, and his family everything else!
I loved the way they brought out that difference today, inevitably in the tones of how we've seen Mohan this last week - and how Amar was shown in the CD. Two men fighting for the SAME thing - in their own ways!
---
And that's that I guess! Overall, a great closing to the week - very glad it was wrapped up to where it was - although I can STILL hardly sit still and wait for Monday now. Given the PRECAP, even less!!!
RD ji if you read this - looks like we WILL be getting some kind of Majnu Megha and Laila Mohan after all - MAN!!! I can't WAIT to watch Monu and his ruffled feathers - and Megha at the task to stroking them to calm again š Haalaki the last time he'd blown up a self grenade, it had taken JUST a sorry and thank you from the lady to piglaao him through and through - and have him looking out for her beneath door creaks and whatnot š
