Knowing that arguing would be futile she followed Arnav inside. Once inside Arnav closed the door and Khushi looked around to find no one else here except for them.

"Don't worry Khushi I didn't bring you here for any nefarious purpose. I brought you here because we need to talk."

Chapter Thirteen

"Ironic isn't it? You, who never spoke any words to me beyond "What the" "get out" "tum jaisi ladki" "aukat" "get out" "shut up" want to talk to me now?? So what is it going to be Mr. Raizada, get out? what the? or shut up?" even though khushi asked him very calmly each of the words felt like a stab at his heart.

"Have you forgotten the last two months of our marriage khushi? don't you remember anything about the past?"

This is the first time Arnav mentioned their marriage since she had came back. Even though it had been in the forefront of both their minds they never spoke of it. And now that it was finally in front of them the dam of pretense broke.

Khushi, who had till now acted indifferent towards him could no longer pretend. All the built up rage, pent up frustration was visible in her face.

"It is better forgotten Arnav"

"We were happy Khushi. We could be happ again. If you'd just let us"

"happy!!! When were we happy?? "

"we were and don't you deny it"

"why did you bring me here ?"

"I told you, we need to talk"

"whose place is this?"

"It is our new farmhouse. Will you stop changing the topic"

"What happened to the old one?""

This time Arnav looked at her guiltily and told her "I sold it"

She didn't need to ask him the reason as to why he sold it because she knew. They had spent the best week of their life in that farmhouse. One whole passion filled week of love, adoration and sex. Just as Arnav had destroyed everything that reminded him of her he had destroyed the farmhouse. Which made her curious... why now? why after so long?

Without beating around the bush she asked him "When did you find out about Shyam had lied?"

Arnav was not liking the way "the talk" was heading. He had brought her here to make her see his love and woo her back. He was here to pour his heart out and beg for forgiveness not so that Khushi could recount every single one of his faults. But he kep queit because Khushi deserved to know the truth. She deserved to know why what is happenng.

"It took me ten days after you left to find out the truth"

This time it was khushi who was beyond shocked. "If you found out the truth why didn't you come after me? Why did you behave like the way you behaved after I came back? Why did act like it was all my fault?"

"I did come after you Khushi. You had changed your name so it took me three months to find you... when I found you I thought you were married to the malhotra guy and pregnant with his baby. :

Khushi laughed a small, sarcastic laugh "So you had misunderstood me yet once again Arnav. Do you know that the baby was yours"

"I know now" Arnav replied with tears in his eyes. "I'm so sorry Khushi... I am so sorry"

Hearing him mention about the baby she never opened a flood. Her knees gave in and she sat in the sofa crying.

Arnav sat on the floor infront of her and took her hands in his. "I'm sorry Khushi. I know it's all my fault and I'm willing to bear any punishment for it but please give us a chance. Please Khushi"

"NO!!!! Too little too late for that now Arnav" Khushi said standing up. Saying that she started to leave. Screw him... she'd take a taxi and go home.

"If you don't care about me even a little bit why did you risk your life trying to save mine?"

Khushi spun around. "I would have done that for anybody Mr. Raizada. I'm the kind of girl who'd risk her own life to save that of a stranger and you know tht very well"

"True I cent percent agree with you but would you kiss that unconcious somebody?"

Khushi was stunned into silence. "How did he find out?"

"I was not totally unconcious"

Arnav strode towards her purposefully, cupped her cheeks very softly and said in a very husky voice "give us a chance baby. I promise to cherish and love you for the rest of my life"

"No I gave you lots of chances. Not anymore. I'm leaving tomorrow and thats final."

Arnav thought it better not to agitate her further. If she wanted to leave, let her leave he'd catch the next flight and be beside her whether she wanted ot not. He'd get Aniket to extend an invitation to him. If it took the rest of his life he'd spend it happily trying to woo her back.

"And by the way I want divorce. I thought we were already divorced but clearly we are not so I want you to sign the papers and send it back to me . Understood?"

"No"

"what???"

"No I won't sign the divorce papers. I'll listen to anything you say but I cannot and would not divorce you. Understood. Do whatever you want, go to court I still won't sign the papers. You are mine and will always remain mine. I'll fight you in court and do everything in my power to not divorce you"

Khushi knew Arnav well enough to know when it was a futile cause. Seeing the deadly spark in his eyes she knew that Arnav has spoken the truth and there is no way that he'll divorce her.

And suddenly just like that Arnav thought of a plan. His eyes sparked with mischief first time in years and a small smile was clearly visible.

"Okay fine I'll give you divorce"

Khushi looked at his with suspicion. "Really???"

"Yeah, on one condition"

Oh no thought Khishi. What is he planning now?

"What condition"

"Stay a month with me as my wife and if after that you feel like leaving I swear on Di I'll let you go. I'll sign the papers. I promise you khushi I won't touch you in that way and it will be a celibate marriage. I know you are wondering what I'll gain from this. Well I'll use this month to gain your trust back, woo you and to show you how our life can be if you decide to come back "

"No way, I'm not crazy"

"Fine then have a nice journey tomorrow. By the way can you please make pakoras for me tomorrow as I'm catching the next flight there"

"What the"

"Don't look so shocked. I'll pursue you this way or that.If you move back there I'll shift there and open a AR industries there. I'll not rest until I get you back khushi. So I suggest you think into the one month plan. As I'll give you a written guarantee that if you leave after one month I'll sign the papers and leave you alone. So which way will it be Mrs. Raizada?"

"Soon to be Miss Gupta"

"We'll see to that Khushi" Arnav chuckled.

"Fine I'll do it. Only because I want to show you living with you doesn't affect me in anyway and after one month I'll walk away with divorce papers"

"We'll see to that Mrs. Raizada, we'll see to that"

The one month suggestion was given to me by Maya aka Inked few weeks ago... thanks a lot hun 🤗...

I asked all a question today... do you want khushi to forgive or not? according to the answers 60 percent want khushi to forgive, 10 are neutral and rest want khushi to give ASR a hard time. Hey, if it was me I'd never forgive him in a million years but this is not me it's Khushi. In serial also after all ASR has done Khushi still forgave him na. Thats the power of love. Khushi has a bigger heart nothing I can do about it. So sit back and enjoy ASR wooing her. Don't think the sad part is over. They still have a lot of struggle left.
