Bruce Lee's stuntman trains Jiiva

Srinivasa Ramanujam

Jiiva is in action mode these days. Currently shooting in Karaikal for a crucial fight sequence for his upcoming Mysskindirected flick Mugamoodi, the actor is working with Tony Leung Siu Hung, a veteran stunt coordinator from Hong Kong who has worked with the likes of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Says Jiiva, "This fight sequence we're canning is based on a technique called Wing Tsun, which is a close combat fight method in which Tony is a specialist. This method is more than a fight; it's fight choreography! Tony is working hard to teach it to us in the easiest possible way and get the best out of us. As he's worked with great action heroes, he makes it a point to not stress us out but instead impart his knowledge about the craft in a smooth manner." We understand that Tony was a lastminute inclusion to the team as the other stunt choreographer, who was to work on the film, had to rush to the schedule of Expendables 2. Stating that Tony had done a great job, the actor says, "We'll be using his expertise to film some other crucial fights for the film as well."
