Iqbal - Khan - Rocking Star
Meet Iqbal Khan, model turned actor who is winning attention with Sonys Show Kaisa Yeh Oyar Hai. After two unfortunate movies, bullet and fun22oosh, Khan went ahead and did advertisemnts and then landed a roleb in the balaji soap. I didnt find anything exciting about after these movies. Moreover at that trime murder had become a hit and wevery director wanted to make a sexy film and that didnt interest me. he says further and i wasnt prepared for tv too, so i spent the last year without anything concrete in hand. since i went to mumbai after a successful stint in modelling, i wanted to graduate to other things in life.
In the new show khan plays a desi rocksdtar and was happy not to be involved with the usual saas babhu soaps. i got a few calls from sony but i wasnt sure. but thery were so persistent that i thought i'd try it out and it worked. it was a prime time sot and i was to play the main lead and so it began rolling.
he has become quite a star after that but he says success hasnt affected him.i still travel in autos as i dont have a car right now and it doesnt matter. i am working hard and i'm on my own. i'm not one of those rich kids says khan who hails from srinagar. my parents are in fact still there. i'm the black sheep of the family, my sisters are quailfied professional he adds.
right now hes enjoying playing the rockstar abs has started relating to his on screen character - angad. he is this cool rockstar who has lived life on the edge with womwen and fame all around him. and then suddenly he finds himself in love and consequently a very changed person. hes a much softer guy now and thats very much like me he says ..
