Kriya, however, went towards her bag to fetch some water before she went towards the board. Rey stayed behind to let everyone leave, like he always did, so that he can talk to Kriya. Vaibhavi on the other hand stayed back today to see how Kriya would react seeing that her name was added on Rey's list.

Kriya saw her name on the list at the last shift every day with Rey next to her name. That meant she was to have Rey teach her around in case she needed help. While butterflies flew in her stomach, she kept a modest look on her face. She turned to see Rey walking around acting as if he's just waiting for others to leave. In reality, he was waiting for her to tell him if she was assigned with him or not.

He raised his brows in a questioning look. Kriya saw Vaibhavi right behind him, something Rey had failed to notice. He thought she had left. Kriya couldn't speak out the answer so she simply walked away. In secrecy, while she was walking, she had her index finger pointing towards the ground.

Rey, at first, was confused why she didn't answer and just left. Then he remembered what she must be doing. When I point my index finger, it means yes and if two, then means no. It had been their signal during college times as well. He looked down to see what number she was pointing at. An index finger' He saw that and smiled from inside. Outside, he simply blinked his eyes looking at opposite direction from Kriya.

Kriya understood that he got the answer. She stopped pointing the finger and picked up her bag. She turned, smiled at Vaibhavi, and left just like that without a look towards Rey.

She was very glad to know that he remembered. Still, she couldn't bring herself to accept that he still remembered everything. All the little things' he remembered. It was as if they were never apart. The misunderstanding had never happened. It wasn't something to let of that easily though. Day after night, month after another, year after year, the past will never leave.

Looking at her, Vaibhavi wasn't able to understand anything! Her girl instinct told her that Kriya was blushing. But her instincts as a judge told her that she was just being nice and accepting the decision without any argument.

She was completely confused on what to make out of it! One minute, she felt like their plan would work. The next, she would remember the modest look of Kriya and think that she probably just accepted as she's a participant and she had put them in list as a judge. Gosh! Why is love so complicated?! She remarked in her head.

That evening, she called Sharon and told her about the rehearsal and her confusion. Sharon commented, "Maybe we should give it some time? The plan did just start you know'"

"Yeah, you're probably right." She replied to Sharon, still doubting. There was something with the way both had reacted' She just couldn't pinpoint it.

Kriya entered the kitchen to see a mess! In the middle of the mess, there stood Sharon trying to juggle everything. At once, she asked, "What do you think you're doing?"

Sharon stated the obvious, "Can't you see?! I'm trying to cook."

Kriya stepped around a can of green peas that lay on the floor and replied with another question, "When have you ever cooked a proper meal that you're 'trying' today?"

Sharon scowled at the comment and got back to moving the spatula around in the pot of vegetables that were cooking. As Kriya got closer to the stove, she commented again, "And what is that horrible smell?!" she moved her hand back and forth to get rid of the smell.

"What smell?" Sharon asked. Apparently, she wasn't able to smell it! Kriya bent down a bit to sniff the stove. Sharon moved back as she did that. Kriya immediately turned the gas off and snatched the spatula from her hand.

"What the heck Sharon? You're making this and you can't even tell that you're burning this?!!" she yelled at her.

Sharon was about to say, 'What are you talking about?' when Kriya took hold of the handle and tilted it a bit so she could show her the burnt things stuck on the bottom. Sharon's mouth turned into an 'o' shaped as she looked at Kriya with an ashamed and guilty look on.

Kriya simply shook her head and directly put the pot in the sink, not bothering to remove the saved pieces. Even if she had removed it, there was no telling about what all Sharon had put in there along with 'what' spices she has used.

"Hey!!" Sharon said not liking that she didn't even bother to taste it!

Kriya gave her a stern look and Sharon immediately went quiet. She understood that she had lost the right to say a word regarding the 'food' she had said.

Kriya prepared the dish from beginning and Sharon sat on the counter and watched. She must have watched Kriya and Swayam cook a million times before. Yet, she never did manage to learn how to cook even one dish properly. You can say cooking just isn't her thing. No matter the easiest recipe book she tries to learn from, nothing ever helps. As Swayam teased her before, she only managed to learn how to cook pasta. That too only because she was doing that as long as she had been dancing!

Once the dinner was ready, Kriya asked, "By the way, why so much food today? It's just both of us and we never eat this much."

Sharon looked around guilty-ly again. Kriya knew that look very well. She kept her hands on her hips and demanded an answer. "What did you do this time without telling me?"

Sharon started out hesitantly, 'Well, you see, it's-it's Friday night and we never do anything. Especially now that the competition is about to start, we will have less time with each other. Then suddenly a voice inside of me said, 'Hey how about a get together dinner?' and uh I loved the idea. So I just called a few people over."

"Few?" she said inferring that she wanted names.

Sharon did the counting in her head. "2 of us'4' 8' Yes, 8. No wait, they were going to bring their friends too' so maybe 12 and then the other 2. 14' yup 14 people are coming."

As Sharon kept on increasing the number, Kriya's eyes widened with it. "Fourteen?! Are you mad or what?!"

"Nope, fourteen is not that big of a number!"

"Sharon, I'm going to kill you one day, I swear!!" Kriya said not believing Sharon called fourteen people without telling her. Four to five, just their inside group, would have been fine. But fourteen? That was the limit!!

Sharon burst out laughing seeing Kriya's anger. Kriya looked at her thinking that he sister had finally gone insane! To clear the doubt, Sharon replied as she caught her breath, "I'm just kidding! It's only you, me, Swayam, Neha, Vicky and Rey."

Kriya couldn't believe that she fell for the prank. But then letting go of the grudge, she too started laughing with Sharon. On the inside, the mention of Rey's name kept on coming back to her. Oh, how happy she was to know that Rey was coming as well! Obviously, she couldn't show that on her face so she kept it neutral.

"Well, it'll be one fine night for sure." She remarked.

Sharon nodded and added, "Agreed, one to remember for a long time to come. Now, I'll go freshen up. All this smell around me is just'" she trailed off as she just exited the kitchen.

Kriya walked out to the back yard and just moved around touching the flowers and fantasizing on how she wanted the night to go by.
