If Munna's in tears,
Can his succor; Raaga be far behind?
-R.Om
I am ashamed to admit that while Munna's pet canine was administering my Jumbo oops I mean my dumbo Munna nasty mental slaps; a left a right a left right left, that too in his own study, I was busy ogling at Pia!
No No don't get me wrong-I am shudh woman.I get attracted only to every cute man my eyes, ears, mouth etc can lay on! But patli kamars are my weakness-kya karoon Gosh! Kya figure, kya chaal, kya lag rahi thi us electric Blue skirt topme.Hai! My tongue was hanging out Gosh! I looked sadly at my five and a half stone double tyres and looked at me Munna- same boat! O saddy sad! Munna and me will have to satisfy ourselves by getting somebody else do proxy for us, na?Such a sad life.No wonder me Munna fell for Cobra with her ex-killer washboard tummies and Pia crack with her present killer abs and hai kya lagthi hai gosh! I disowned her as my crush.Well I take her back. Gosh just for that 'not even an inch of extra sinful flesh' anywhere- gosh do these damsels do magic?
But remember who I am? Nobody can keep me distracted for long from me Munna!Ouch! Jokes apart, what a scene, what a scene! MT please tell your damn khabari that damn Mayi is damn good! What does damn Mayi damn think? That we are a damn school of damn fishes and she's a smug damn expert damn fishwoman? Damn her but unfortunately we are damn this and she is damn that respectively! I was mad that they slashed the JB confrontation scene. Even madder that Munna was hiding in his study and shedding silent tears. Collect them son and courier them to Chennai. Duayen denge, pani ki itni kami hai.A really heart tearing scene as he recollects his joyous moments with Amma and 'jiya dhadak dhadak' plays on.. ..Ouch! And Bani My god! You would have thought she was a stone statue - a picture, carved to deathless perfection, dumb struck with inexpressible grief and shock. Silver lining in the cloud was she was in a bedroom, very withing her husband's house.. Maybe the guestroom? But then shouldn't forget that every silver lining has a cloud! I was sure she will leave the house and I was shocked when she actually did. Me poor Munna. Beautifully portrayed though. Pregnant thunder sounds, hawa hawa bg- Bani's silent tears and her deer like large eyes, that earlier used to be full of speechless adoration for her husband now numb with pain and grief and untold sorrow- too good!
Prachi, I am tired of saying the same things again and again but you and Ram compete with yourselves everyday and set a new record everyday-bravo! I think you now stand the chance of finding yourselves in the same league as some of the best in the tele industry.Best of luck!
I suddenly felt like kissing that briandead Kiran Dixit(R.I.P, please! Nahin! Don't haunt me. Uske liye Sandy Bhalu tho bahut kafi hai. He still haunts even my nightmares!) If she hadn't had that dumb brainwave of standing under that spooky street lamplight on that spooky night, where would we have got such a treat? Gosh Mamma Dixit, a flying kiss to you.
Now this scene, what a beautiful setting. Darkened study and Munna; part of him in the shadows. Gosh this KS creative team, just pay attention to their attention to details. The weather most likely than not portrays the mood of the character and the scene in question. The same bg sounds are used with different effect for different moods. For example take the hawa hawa bg - during Cobra's impotent seduction scene and then during the desi Rambo scene where Munna falls (That's an understatement!) on Bani's miserable half an inch frame! Brilliant! When Munna's sulking, away from the whole world, living his every pain and agony, punishing himself by reliving the agony and Pia storms in to his privacy, penetrating and disturbing his thoughts, her every word acting as pin-pricks on his conscience, the full force of the situation is brought home by the excellent bg, by the superb setting. Pia's dazzling electric blue attire, proving a contrast to Munna, who is become one with the night was another excellent touch to highlight Pia's indignation and magnifying Munna's share in hurting his wife. Though every Munna lover would have felt that this was none of Pia's business and I wished Munna would shut her up with just a "Shut up! Bani's my wife and I can do what I B please with her. Outsiders need not interfere!" you cannot help admiring this spirited lady for her spirit and guts and somewhere her accusations are well founded too, thanks to my moron Munna. Munna has always come across as haughty, proud, snooty and insensitive. His earlier behaviour towards Bani was hardly pardonable and he managed to create a negative impression about himself in the mindof others. It required Bani's patience, understanding and unconditional love to bring out the very humane, very loving, very sensitive, very emotional Munna, hiding or should I say self exiled Munna, by bringing him to face his past and hence become capable of redeeming himself and become worthy of himself before he becomes ready to be worthy of anybody else's love. Pia accusing him of avenging her through her sister is not exactly ill founded. And Munna only helped strengthen her case by his incoherency and his guilty behaviour. But Roshni Chopra rocked! Simply rocked! Ram and Prachi are naturals. A bit of a push, a help, inputs from here and there and they have been giving award winning performances but somebody like Chopra who is great eye and arm candy whom everyone deemed fit only for the ramps, having been criticized for the crunching of her brows in the name of acting now having to not only enact such a complex emotional scene but also making a huge success out of it is not a joke. Very powerful scene and very crucial too since Pia, who is actually Munna's alter ego; eternal manifestation of his inner conscience, forces him to acknowledge the reality and take a pro-active decision. Chopra could have bungled it but she did full justice to it. Way to go dear!Keep it up!
Now I love me Munna. I like to have him for my breakfast, lunch dinner snack etc everyday but during such times when he utters sheer wealth of nonsense I feel like throwing him across my knees and whacking his five stone bottom! Gosh re Munna! What the hell happens to you now and then? Just a while ago he is such a sensible bachcha uttering the correct dialogues, correctly flirting with his wife, making the right moves, blushing the right kind, phir? What dusht pret atma enters him and haunts his tongue and makes it sport words exactly contrary to his sentiments? Allah! I swear I wanted Potter's wand so I could scream 'Plasterosa'! and an invisible plaster will wrap itself around his mouth! I mean which man discusses his S life and moves and intentions with his ex-flames? That too with slimy things like Cobra and Pia? Last time he told Cobra about The night and now he tells Pia how The night happened! Limit Munna! You are just- I am at a loss for words. But it was very touching so heart wrenching to watch him unable to face Pia, his turning away and retorting Bani was equally responsible (You are very near the truth kiddo! Watch the vid, you will be shocked to discover your lovely wife actually seduced you!) but it was a halfhearted appeal and Pia just murdered him. Final blow when she storms out saying the baby will not make it in to this world! Look at his devastated expression. Brilliant Ram!
The tragedy of life is not that it ends so soon, but that we wait so long to begin it.
-W.M.Lewis
Aww Mausiji; my Badki! Another shandaar performance! Gosh! She looks like she died yesterday. Her eyes are red, face is flushed and swollen and my god my god, grief becomes her- Ouch! Just brilliant! She informs Pia that Bani is gone. Study Mausiji's expression; dead scared shocked anxious - No drama no loud expression of her condition. When Pia bangs Jai that if something happens to her sister, she won't spare him, watch Mausiji flash that look at Munna! Superlative acting! I thought this cannot be matched. Wrong gloriously wrong! Watch that 'I am nailed' look from Munna. Those eyes, that body language-'Is it not over yet? Have you not killed me enough?' All agitated he makes calls to the Police, the powerful Jai walia obvious for a moment, when a hand finds a place on his shoulders. Did he think it could be the peace he had lost, perhaps forever? Yes? No! But solace yes.
The only other woman in the whole world, who understands him, knows him, loves him unconditionally, for what he is, puts his happiness before hers, his genuine wellwisher, offers her shoulders to his troubled soul. Munna grabs Mausi's shoulders and for the first time after a long long time bares his heart out to her. The true Jai Walia, his true feelings and emotions and sentiments that he had been pushing in to the innermost recesses of his heart can no longer bear to remain hidden. They pour out in hot breaths and passionate outbursts "Mausiji main bahut bura admi hoon". Ouch na munna! You are are only exceedingly foolish and too guillable for your own good. Me Munna! He admits his mistakes spendidly and that he has hurt Bani irreparably.
You know when he was talking crap in front of Pia(well I don't exactly blame Munna. For one he is a duffer. Two he has been under the nutcase impression that he is oppressing his wife! Three that he is his saasumaa's murderer and the guilt is eating him up.. Four Pia looked like a Blue Kali ma. Gosh! These Dixit sisters, when they open mouths, they give their men no chance to talk. They just go on and on and on. Like the ad punchline 'Mileageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'! Poor Munna, he was feeling guilty like hell and in front of this neelkali, he had no chance, na?), he makes it look like he wants to make it up with Bani because of the baby. "Hamare beech pyar ka rishtha nahin hai!" Gosh Munna you screwball! What was June 19th then? What about those face reading and eye talking games? See what I say he is such a duffer! And gosh he was actually accepting that he raped Bani, when she was under the influence of drugs? Gosh! And Pia accuses this KS idiot of having succeded in executing his masterplan of avenging this pathetic loser through her sister?Gosh! KS must be renamed as 'Kahani idiots ki - Kasamh se'!
This was like a death blow on me. I was like what? Does that mean that this oddball's mantra for the rest of his life will be 'Woh ek galthi thi."? I was seriously disappointed with the way they had supposedly murdered my Munna's character. I thought no no. Bani's just an instrument to make his long held dream come true?Nothing else? I am so orry I maligned me Munna in word deed and thought- my Munna can never fail me! Never! It's only that he's The KS duffer. Sochtha kuch hai kartha kuh hai! Holding Mausi's hands tightly he tells her that he doesn't want Bani back because she is going to become the mother of his child but because "Main Bani ke bina kaise jee saktha hoon mausi?" Awwww That was pichle gali ke ladke music to my ears!
Awww Finally finally!
Like they say it is only when you realize you can lose somebody that you understand their value and realize what love means. Mind blowing scene this! The great magnificent invincible Jai Walia, the stoneless heartless haughty Jai walia today helpless guilty tired defeated - actually groveling for a woman's love- My my! See how the mighty fall! It was so touching so heart jerking to see Munna this way.. .. At last! At last Munna has become capable of crossing the Laxman rekha; his past; the barrier that was stopping him from crossing across and embracing his true feelings, the banister that prevented him from discovering himself and living his life in the true sense of the word. Particulalrly affects you because of the way they have taken this scne. Beautiful. Him slouching on the stairs, helpless and sorrowful-brilliant! I am so happy that at last Munna has made a clean break from his past. By accepting his true feelings he is done with the past. He doesn't know that yet but from this moment onwards, his is a new janam, has to make a fesh start. Painful yes it is to start from the sscratch for both him and Bani but writing on a clean; what you wish instead of on previously scribbled one is very acceptable.
The proud lofty building crumbling, in debris but hope yet as Mausi pacifies him and tells him at this stage a woman needs her husband the most "Humari Bani maa bannewali hai.. .. humari Bani is sheharme bilkul akeli hai.. ..meri bani ko le aa.. .."
I think there is nothing in this whole world that can equal a mom's lap. Pata nahin kya hai but jo sukoon mamma ke godime miltha hai, jo dilsasa mamma ke baatonse milthi hai, jo himmat mammake tassalise milthi hai, woh kahin bhi nahin! Muasi has been like yashodha maiyya to Munna. Yesterday, you could see the relationship these two share, you can see why he went through the torture of pretending to be happily married to Bani, just for this woman's sake, yesterday you could see why and what they mean to each other.. .. She herself has just received the biggest shock of her life. Her Munna had been fooling her all along, her Ram and Sita were only for namesake she is broken hurt in grief yet she hasn't abandoned her Munna.. .. she is not angry at him. Only hurt yes but not enough that she won't realize that he is in the most vulnerable state now and need her support, encouragement-when the whole world has rejected him, he needs his maa's aanchal to flutter over him, cover him and give him the ehsaas that all is not lost. There is hope yet that no matter what his maa will always be with him. A child who has his maa by him finds himself at least ten times stronger. Fortified he promises her that he will return with his wife. Aditya's news about the bomb blasts and look at Munna's hand gestures he immediately turns to mausi and assures her nothing will happen to bania nd he goes in search of her.Gosh this mausiji! What expressions. The moment Munna is out she puts her hands over her mouth and weeps. Too good lady!
Gosh this Pushkar- Pia has to go running to him and tell him her Di is missing. We havn't forgotten the slappy oops sloppy affair darlings! You stay at home an dmind your fire! Munna will take care of his amma. Don't tell me this pathetic nut will be the one to discover Bani? Then I swear I'll compulsorily feed him my latest recipie which I proudly call 'The Mango monngdal delight' which for some strange reason smells of public lavatory toilet. Even our stay crows have refused to touch it.Must be morons like me Munna. Don't recognize genius! I seriously hope this moron keeps out of this. This is a private affair between Munna and bani and I would love Munna to play Rambo again or maybe Trazan, swing over trees, make a dive and save his pretty tender wife from a gang of hmmmm say Bhalu haunted specimens?
Jiggu and Rano scene was so exceedingly funny. Her contempt for Sahil's uxoriousness and her hounding poor delicate Rano - so funny. Rano is literally dumbstruck! I love this. I am not for domestic violence but it's a treat to watch Jiggu terrorizing Rano. Ust you wiat dear Jiggu. You don't know these Dixit sisters yet. The day rano decides to grow a spine like Bani, god help you! Ask Walia or better still ask Papa Cobra what Munna's Bani did to him inside that room, when she was hounding him anout Park street! This scene is like these tragic plays where you have comic relief to ease the tension and make you prepared for the grand finale; the ultimate tragedy. Ashwini just rocks. Good job all three; Prashant, Arunima and of course Ashwini.
The two men, Munna his energy renewed and Aditya; his laxman take quick long strides and that mantra plays on for a bg. I am against playing anything religious for a bg,especially for unworthy characters like Ansh from Kyunki and Swamiji. They are too sacred to be used for entertainment but cannot help but admit that they do lend a charm to the whole scene, especially hear.Munna is reved up and confident. The bg suits his mood admirably. The watchman informs Munna that Bani is gone to the dadar station. See Munna's shocked face. Adi and he split. What's the intention? That Munna alone finds Bani?I would love that! Maybe we can expect the confrontation cum confession scene anytime now? That would be just awesome!
Ekta Ekta Ekta you rock! She doesn't let any opportunity slip away, does she? Bomb attacks and she immediately weaves it in to the main plot. We Indians are highly emotional people. Will we not feel Munna's pain, when many of us have just been through the trauma of being on the brink of losing loved ones- who wouldn't identify with the pain, the anxiety, the helplessness of wondering whether your most loved one is safe or not, alive or dead- no phonelines, no cell service, chaos, mayhem-gosh! Death would seem a much better option! Especially when you have a veteran like Ram, looking like a million dollars, enacting before you the horror of it all, won't you feel his pain, his anxiety? An ace Ekta! You are just brilliant!
Hats off to the crative team as Munna is shown entering the station, photo in hand, white face shocked at the crowd rushing out-gosh! Very well picturised! Just too good. Though itdid look silly him trying to stop the panic stricken people enquiring about Bani but his slightly open mouth, pale sallow face leave you in no doubt about the tempest that's raging in his breast. As he drifts past the crowd, and through the hospital where the victims have been admitted and he scans the hurt, groaning in pain, we are treated to the glorious yester JB moments, in their happy days.. ..Ouch! So touching as the dardnak 'Juda hoke bhi tu mujhme kahin baki hai' plays on and the moments of unbridled joy is alternated with the present where a Munna, struck with dread and fear but a strange determination proving anchor to his blurred feelings, acting as his lodestar, goes on tirelessly on his mission. Beautiful KS creatives! What a way to higfhlight the pathos. The most brilliant part is that we havn't had our Bani for three full days! The glimpse of the completely baffled and lightning struck Bani, uttering not a single word is hardly our Bani! Gosh what a technique to build the suspense, to build the pathos, to make it all the more terrible and highlight munna's gunah, his pachthawa and .. ..their love.. ..When we get to see her, in what ever condition, it will be all the more pleasurable. The relief will be greater, especially on Munna's face.
Gosh the inspector's cute! Munna insists that he is taken on the patrolling and hey Eesh, what does he say that god may take his life but spare Bani's! Lord I can smell something evil here. Ekta, don't touch me Munna! Munna havn't I told you not to think? Honey you are the dingdong king and the kissing Olympics champion. Stick to it. Don't think and utter nonsense. Gosh I just hope he will be okay. I want both Munna and Bani to enter the house together and Mausiji does their arti. My cute police sahib gets a call and informs Munna that a lady answering his description has been found dead. Munna is aghast. He starts up and his eyes express his shock and fear. Terror struck!
What an episode! Touched the right chords, exciting you, numbing you, warming you, and making you cry, smile, and whimper in despair and anxiety and dread at the same time. Superlative acting and creative team hats off. Everything was bang on; be it dialogues or direction or cinematography or bg. Almost flawless. Neat I should say. Cannot wait for the next.

Raaga's secret urge:
Munna at the back of the patrolling van and he looked like he had been arrested and they were taking him to the lock-up. I thought how cute he'd look in jail wale clothes. Imagine him putting his cute sad face against the jail bars, him in the white and black striped shirt and shorts and the topi gazing sorrowfully at a tearful Bani! He'll look so hot, na?😳
