Initially even Papa Scindia was ready to pay the amount and get Ansh back though as duty, he didn't want some one eklse to pin point them as they did not took proper care of the son of their bahu. but it was the Police officer who changed his mind about the ransom and indicated that even after paying the amount, the kidnapper may still kill Ansh for the fear that he had seen the culprit. That had changed Papa's mind a bit but it was his son's decision to pay the amount from his earning s and also the way he questioned his papa about what they would have done if it were Payal & palak. He never expected his son will question his words let alone revolting against his decision.

i totally disagree - what is the point of getting a 2nd chance at life if they are separated.
