Giaa Maanek is a rage now. She has entered the hearts of every television viewer across the country and worldwide with her meticulous and superb performance as Gopi bahu in Sunrise Productions' Saath Nibhana Saathiya on Star Plus. The actress recently has been hogging the limelight for not so good reasons. She was spotted at a hookah parlour and the media created quite a hype around it. However, the lovely lady clarified exclusively to Tellychakkar.com that she did not indulge in anything which was illegal or unethical.
Now, we have received some more important dope from our sources in the television industry. There has been a lot of buzz with Giaa going ahead and agreeing to be a part of BBC Worldwide's upcoming show on Colors, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
"Giaa went ahead and gave a nod to Jhalak, much to the production house's discontentment. The channel even gave Giaa a warning that if she takes up any other show, she will have to bear the brunt," said a source.
Giaa has taken up a new project, hence it is believed that she will be shown the door and a replacement will be brought in. The makers have even started to approach some actors.
Tellychakkar.com got in touch with producer Rashmi Sharma and after a patient hearing she told us to "get in touch later".
On the other hand, Giaa said, "I have no idea about it. I have not been told anything officially. But yes, I don't think there will be any issue on me taking up Jhalak."
