Hi all...
I always felt dat the stories dat are written in the puranas represent nothing but the struggle, the battle within us... Just like the Rakshastal(salt water) and Manasarovar(sweet water) lakes at the foot of Mt.Kailash represent the evil and good forces in nature, and within us...
There is a lot more to our ancient texts then just the battles, the heroes, the damsels in distress, the weapons, etc... Humans r not entirely BLACK or entirely WHITE... but are in shades of GREY.. I feel that the puranas teach ways and means to battle the evils within us, surrender to the almighty and increase the positivity or godliness among us...
Found this article from the site i mentioned in previous post... Its about a story that v all know about... either heard or read b4.. about the birth of Kartikeya and his battle against Tarakasur and other asuras... But this article is very interesting.. The 1st half contains the story and the 2nd half give us it's symbolic representation which is very important to understand from whatever Pauranic story that v read...
P.S. Cant post links as m a newbie... so pls copy paste it into ur adress bars...
