New kind of story telling?

Before the show began, we knew that Ambee was going to be Imarti's third bahu and that their personalities were going to clash. We know what's going to happen regarding the wedding issue.

This show is taking it's time to introduce the characters, allow the audience to become familiar with all of the characters, and to set the stage/story. To me, this is a pretty unique way of story telling in a TV serial and I really like it so far. I personally have never noticed such a style in any other TV serial (maybe Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha).

Did anyone else notice the same thing? Has this style been used by other serials?
