I do not the law of the land but forgive my ignorance...I thought parents can write their WILL and decide who gets what after their death. If parents do not want their son / daughter to have any penny of the property then they can do so and son / daughter have no right to challenge that WILL...unless the WILL was not written and death was sudden...

Is this true for only hard earned property or generational property or both????

So how can Gauri think and Jagya believes that they can sue their parents for property share later on after divorce??

Katori couple can only claim Ancestral property, meaning anything that DS has made, but since DS still alive, she can declare that she wants nothing to be given to Jagya. In which case, Katori couple cannot legally claim for anything

Gauri-Jagya have no legal knowledge. They think they will get it just like they thought their marriage was legal. The property is earned by DS so they cannot have any share in the property. Only if it is an ancestral property that has been in the family for more than 3 generation. In DS's case, she didn't have anything so technically J-G have no case

All the property has been earned by DS so she can even refuse to give anyone any share

Hi! We are a very litigious people!
Under the law, with ancestral property is the right of GRAND children to inherit it equally.
This right overrules ANY will made by the grandfather/grandmother.
The law provides him the opportunity to contest ANY will that excludes him.
The only option left to Dadisa is,perhaps,to GIFT the property to her two sons.
ughead has NO rights over his father's or mother's property..Of course,he can sue Anandi for a share in their their property AFTER both of them are dead.

That is the law of the land...have NO clue what laws govern GaGa's LaLaLand!!

That helped any?!

Indeed it helped...thanks :-).

So all is in the hands of Daadisa...now the question is will she give Jagya any of it???? Whatever soft corner she had for Jagya is turning sour and who knows she also trn hard-hearted like Anandi and decides to not give even a single penny. Bhairo and Basant for sure will not give any.
Let us see what Daadisa does...last time she was wiling to give because she wanted Anandi's azaadi...but next time...what would be the compulsion??? Since she does not want any fight or"bawaal" I am afraid she might just cave in and nay be...MAY BE...give some to Jagya...I won't like that at all!!!!!!!

If someone inherited some property from parents then their children also inherit it.
The person who had earned the property (Dadisa in this case) can make a will saying that Jagya should not get anything. Otherwise Jagya will inherit half of what Bhairon gets.

znursingh, I think you have got some points wrong ... to my knowledge :-

Ancestral property is one you did not earn and goes back three generations ... Also the person who earned it (or built it) is dead ... then only can anyone claim on property

If i have built a business or house and I am still alive, it is my freaking wish who i want to give my wealth to ... Since dadisa is the one who actually built everything from scratch, she can leave it to whoever she wants. The ancestral law does not apply here ... If i have earned it, my will reigns supreme ... of course anyone can contest it and drag the issue but dadis doesn't have to give the 'dactars' anything
