The HM again, a little like V-day. Again Ashu needs to be reminded of things which others take for granted. I think his saying HM is for arranged marriage couples and a waste of time was completely hilarious, and a tad insensitive. So, her zidd for that is correct, becoz she wants to finally have some alone time with him without babas, kakas, friends or family lingering around! Unlike VDay where she went out with Anji and Rohan, she cannot settle to go on a HM with anyone else!!!

But the ghodi thing was not necessary. That was completely immature zidd. And she getting so upset about it, not required. She needs to see that Ashu has been fulfilling her wishes even if he is not comfortable about it and let it go. Maybe she will come to this conclusion tomorrow.

But I just do not want her to forget these things. I feel Nidhi feels repeats her mistakes. She should learn from previous ones but when she is super excited she tends to forget these. Maybe that maturity will come with age when she will sober down a little. We all have seen that she is capable of becoming very serious and mature when the situation demands it. She now needs to find that middle ground...

And the epi today covered all these issues but made fun of it. Throughout the epi only Ashu had a serious expression and that's precisely why this fun and comedy worked. Ashu is such a serious guy that it is really easy for his loved ones to make fun of him. And I think he is liking it, again for someone who is a loner and orphan, he is just appreciating all the people around him who consider him their own.

Thanks for replying me. Yesterday was a long day for me and it was too late ..while having food watched the epi, wrote a reply to Tanu and dozed off...😳

Sorry, I may be repetitive... but in the case of tie and Red T shirt, Ashu hesitated to the core to wear the Tie and willingly tried to wear T Shirt... Both were outside his interest and Ashutosh did not hide his hesitation for the tie.

Saying 'yes' to everything is different from why he should say 'yes' to something...

yes.. 'Ashu loves Nidhi'..but, doesnt mean he should go against his own interests and try to believe the Nidhi's interests... That was exactly the purpose (the different tastes between different generations) of the Tie -wala concept.

As far as the character growth is considered, I do not exactly call this as character growth for Ashu.. It needed Nidhi to grow...


You are right. The Sangeet dance was like V-day.. In both the situations super excited Nidhi wanted to enjoy, but pulled herself back on seeing the Ashu's reaction.. and Ashu went on to make efforts to make her happy... There, Nidhi perfectly understood his hesitation and conducted herself with maturity... she was hurt but tried to accommodate. In both the occasions Ashu did (on his own and with out anybody prompting) what could be her wish...

Here again, for HM, whatever Ashutosh expressed was to highlight the age differences.. Ashu is completely right in his own way... about love marriage and arranged marriages.. as they already knew each other well and spending time separately to get intimacy may not be required.. She should have said few dialogues...about why she wanted... (I seriously hope HM turn out to be something at par with V-Day)... the dialogues or Nidhi's expressions (even for the ghodi) were not up to her behavior that were shown in the earlier occasions.

In all, the Sherwani and Ghodi were stretched too long .. just like the hair dye, resulting it made fun of everything.

It left me with thinking ...Oh God!!! why again she is into her childish Zidd mode... what a character inconsistency... why they are not following the basic character sketch...

The CVs kept it light but these discussions between Ashni could have resulted in a big, serious arguement just before the wedding. But the fact that Armaan and co were keeping AShu in a light mood made it easy for him to handle all that childishness from Nidhi, including what he thinks is her choice of dress for him.

Aardhan you said it. Even I was thinking the same. CVS kept it light may be b'coz of shadi ka mahaul, and their relationship is new. but later these two are going to fight on such issues. Lets see how they cope up with the situation.

And Ashu saying YES to Nidhi's each zidd isalso correct. He just wants to make her happy. But later he will not entertain her such zidd. He will be irritated. Then only we can expect some maturity from Ndhi.

@ Bold Ideally I would have agreed to you if KTLK had wrapped up where DK had ended. But as we all know for sure now that KTLK is just inspired by DK and not a copy, I don't think we should compare Zoya and Nidhi. KTLK has moved much further than DK and now the leads are actually setting up a life together in KTLK. Nidhi's character even though it annoys me to the core many times, has more shades to it... Zoya never had to deal with the dynamics of a a relationship whereas Nidhi has to.
Personally I am enjoying the way things are going right now and I love KTLK much more than I liked DK since DK had an open ending.

KTLK and DK had similarities only in the very basic outline.. Hero's baba is heroine's nana, hero was obsessed with real estate and doctor...thats all... so, there is no comparison between these two shows ( though they say it is an adaptation).. Zoya may be great.. but it is Nidhi who is representing the current generation ( Nidhi is 25 years later version of Zoya...and India may have a bit more open culture.. which reflects on personality)

It started out to be a subtle love story keeping the generation gap between the lovers...which is a very glaring difference now than 25 years ago... So many changes that have to appear to be tackled deftly.. As Mohinee said, KTLK is not a copy only adaptation...But at the same time, I agree with you as well .. some unsolicited tracks (to make it appealing to the TRP, and the wishes of viewers to see the romance ) killing the charm of subtlety.


Finally, The mention about the actors who quit the show... we are here for Ashutosh and Nidhi...So, better, we dont bring such issues... even I dont like to call someone as ashu 1.0 or ashu 2.0... because, it is upto writers to write the scenes and scripts based on the basic character sketch of 'Ashutosh'... (Yes... there is only one Ashutosh)... not by keeping the real life actor in view... and ...it is we, ..making comparison...and if someone still feel that there is a glaring difference between 'Ashu-before accident' to 'Ashu-after accident'... then I call it as a character inconsistency committed by writers...that needed to be corrected.

Nidhi behaves.. childlike sometimes...that is adorable... Nidhi in the initial episodes of KTLK, she was child-woman...

Nidhi now behaved childish...this is OTT.

There is a line between these two varieties... CVs are inconsistent with this basic character sketch...sometimes she behaves with maturity and sometimes foolishly childish...

Arre.. DK gayi tel lene.. Enjoy new age ktlk story instead of still dreaming & comparing ktlk...:)
